Including GM.
I've been one of the great GM appologists on here. I was even called a fanboy. I bought this car for the acceleration and style. No doubt I got the style. Performance, no. |

Mine will be on the dyno at Speedinc tomorrow morning. Ill post the results. My car kind of feels like its lacking until almost 4500-5000 rpms.

I'm in love with the Camaro. Just not mine. My car just sucks for performance. rpepka's car coming back with the GM stamp of approval is discouraging. :( I'm taking mine to my dealer with my Dyno results tomarrow. We'll see what happens. I can't find another Dyno even close. Well, not one that will let me in. |

I'll be getting on the dyno at ADM performance by Monday morning at the latest, if not sooner (come on ADM, get me in sooner!) and I will post the results back here for comparison.

pq,
you have been talking with Scott right? I know you have limited time to hang out at a dealer but it sounds like he's on the right track... that should help you get yours sorted shouldn't it?

I'm hoping not, but not sure what else to do at that point. I considered that maybe I'm just launching the car wrong but I've now done it EVERY way possible. Conservatively on the throttle and ease into the WOT. With TC. Without TC. Paddles. Sport. Revs up to break stand. You name it. You would think if it were the 'driver' I would have gotten lucky at least ONCE. It's NOT me. It's the car. The one on the dynolicous where it showed 4.53 was downhill. ![]() I've been a GM supporter through this whole thing. Defended on every turn. STILL DO. I'm confident that they will recognize a problem and fix it. But with rpepca getting his back like he did, I don't feel so good suddenly. |

I'm 99% sure the dealer isn't going to do anything to fix a overly-rich tune.
You know what must be done now... Get a tuner to fix that A/F ratio, and get that thing running right. Don't put your faith in the dealership to get this fixed, as one slower Camaro (that has no obvious issues) is not a concern to them. If you think the dealership is going to fix your tuning issues, you're going to be disappointed. |

Below are graphs showing a manual vs. an auto Manual ![]() Auto (Stock vs. Tuned) The baseline numbers were 323 RWHP / 312 RWTQ, the tuned numbers were 339 RWHP / 360 RWTQ. Similar to our proven G8 tunes, it did pick up power, but our transmission calibration with reduced torque management and improved shift points make it feel like a whole different car! Peak gains were +16 RWHP, + 48 RWTQ (typical RWTQ gains are +15-20) If you notice around 4,400 rpms, however there were huge gains in power and torque. ![]() Regards, Rick LeBlanc Livernois Motorsports |
