Change Transmission Fluid

So im at 1500 miles and im about to drain everything dry and replaice all fluids with a Royal Purple/ Lucas Stabilizer.

Engine oil- easy stuff done 100 times- 80% oil, 20% lucas
Rear End- just found a vid looked it up, esentially as easy as oil. still trying to research the best mix....
Tranny- this is where i need help..... cant find anything on it.......(Manual)

I may or may not be able to use a lift. we have one readily available. just not sure if the guy has it clear.

Nothing cheap when you deal with quality products. I am doing the same thing and adding the Dimple drain plugs to engine, tranny, and differential for added peace of mind.

I just did it.
It is real easy.
Took me less then 4 quarts and less than 30 min.
One of the best investment you can make.
I no longer have any grinding when shifting gears.

I would not use any oil additives and Royal Purple overrated.

Engine Oil: pennzoil platinum or ultra, or Mobil 1. Engine oil these days is excellent no additives needed.

Rear end Mobil 1 Ls 75w90

Manual trans any quality dexron 3. For synthetic, Mobil 1 atf multi vehicle formula (not dexron vi for newer vehicles). This is correct for your synchronizers. Count threads of fill and drain bolts, both just need 3/8 drive to remove. Just snug.

I used RP in my transmission and it changed the way it shifts. It's very smooth now.

That's with a 25% Lucas in each. So I need 3.6qt trans, ~1qt rear. 6qt engine. And 4qts of lucas

I used GM fluid so I wouldn't have a problem with the warranty. It is a lot better than stock IMHO. For the tranny jack up the car and support it with jack stands on a level surface or use a lift. The fill plug is midway on the tranny on the drivers side. The drain plug is on the passenger side toward the end of the tranny by the drive shaft. Losen the fill plug first and then the drain plug. Put the drain plug back in after its done draining and fill it till it starts coming out. Takes about four quarts. You can get a cheap pump for an auto parts store.

Rear end is the same but both drain and fill plugs are on the drivers side.

Any typos were done by my pos phone.

Below is what I used from the dealer. Yes I got more than I needed but I like to be safe rather than have it torn apart with not enough fluids.
