it wasnt my logic, i was pointing out the flaw in the Production logic. It outsold because every 16y.o. girl with a nice daddy bought her a mustang.

Because it was the better car lol

About 55% of all Mustangs sold were V6s, so even with those out of the equation, just the GT alone still outsold the SS, Z28, and v6 almost 2 to 1. When I bought my Z28, I didn't even look at the Mustang because I wanted a 300+ hp car at a ripe age of 17, so that's what I got. I didn't appreciate cars for more then just the engine and transmission combination long after that car.

I would disagree with a few things here, most notably that the late 80s to the pre-lt1 90s were all Mustang and the new 5.0 mustangs have just as many "opportunities" as fifth gen SS'. The weight makes things very close.

That being said, I miss my 98 Z28 sometimes, but not when I sit in one or drive by one lol
it's easy to handle good when they had a hard time breaking 90mph in the 1\4 mile! lol

and Pontiac built respectable cars until 1977.

plus is handling and breaks are the deciding factor, the 80's belongs to the general then.

Handling and brakes in the 80s on a pony car would probably go to the SVO. The 89 turbo trans ams were the coolest pony cars of the 80s for sure. Those things are still cool.

I would love to have one in the stable. mid low 13's around 104 mph in the 80's was a freakin rocketship.

When sometimes only tenths apart. Sometimes one only faster on the launch..
Does it really matter u can make it faster.
Then u got the guys that complain may be just as fast but interior garbage conpared to this car that cost 4 times more.. Wtf lol

I was actually going to buy a GT500 at first but salesmanager & sales man both assholes acting like its a ferrari

before i bought my 02 SLP SS i was looking at a '09 gt500. except they slapped the terminator super charger in it. nice car. just ended up outa my range. but have no regrets about getting the SLP instead. try to explain to people that its not a "bias" its a choice. personal likes/dislikes. and shooting the shlt with numbers is always fun. but i mean at the end of the day Crustangs are still v8's could be worse.

could be one of these little peices of garbage.

What? That doesn't make any sense. The '09 gt500 came with an m122 and the terminators came with the older design m112.
