ya my intent was to remind everyone that with all this modern technology that you should not rely on it. I was pretty pissed off tho. The reason I was pissed at the sensors is because they usually pick up everything. Even a lot smaller then this big mail box. The sensors that were on my truck would pick up a little tall grass. The Camaro was designed
1 for looks
2 for performance
and 3 to be street legal. You cant have everything.

Completely fix - probably not.

But I'll bet that differences among drivers (height, weight/build, seatback angle preference, distance to mirror, and at least half a dozen more things) allow some drivers to get closer to achieving "full visibility" than others.

Got to think past any limitations caused by your own physique. Ergonomics 101.

Thank you. This puts your comments in perspective.

For YOU. Not for me. Likely due in part to the ideas Norm mentions.

Good point, I'm 6'2", no visibility issues. Plus, I've had a couple corvettes so I have had a chance to get used to vehicles with limited visibility. If the Camaro is the first car you've had of this type I can see why it would be difficult.

And yet you missed the most important sentence..

And yet despite those issues.. every time I get in the car and press that throttle and hear that huge cam a huge grin comes across my face..
the car is FUN.. and I love surprising higher end cars on the strip and on the track.

The C6 Corvette does not suffer from the visibility issues the Camaro does.
never has. In fact the C6 fixed many of those visibility issues with the new rear end and bigger glass.

It is wide open view in comparison as a sports car should be.

OK, the visibility is what it is and I don't have Mylink or the Mohave interior so I can't speak for those. What is your issue with the DIC? I think it is pretty similar to most other vehicles.

The AC in my Camaro is one of the best I've had, so if yours is that bad it is not a design issue but something wrong with your specific car. Same thing with the thunk noise.

A LOT of the 2013s are complaining about the AC being weak.
huge threads here. and when you take it in they put a thermometer in the vent and tell you its fine.
yet it takes 30 mins of driving+ for the car to cool to even luke warm.
where in other cars you get in turn it on and need a parka. which is what I expect from a 50k car.
and yes the shock clunk is yet another TSB for bad freaking shocks.

The air conditioner in my car works very well. I have yet to need to use recycle mode it gets that cold in my 2013 SS. The Air in my G8 was terrible in that it took a long time before it would start blowing cold air. Is the air conditioning system charged at the factory or during dealer prep?

I will agree though that the DIC in this car isn't as good as what the G8 has, but that was a sport sedan, and the gauge cluster gives me the important info about the motor and trans so...

(Edit: sorry, went off-topic there.)

Nope. Just because I didn't quote it, doesn't mean I missed it.

Perhaps our points of view differ in part because I paid less than half of what you did?

Okay, I'll bite. What car in the same class has worse visibility?

I can't make such a claim, and I shouldn't have quoted that line. I wasn't disputing his claim regarding the class, but his continued claim that the visibility is so poor in general.

Just going to touch on a few points...my AC blows damn cold within a few minutes of starting the car. Just fine, imo. Sounds like you got a dud, wish I could recommend something to you to fix it.
Rearward vis...I adjusted my mirrors (properly), and even with my louvers I'm confident that nobody is going to honk me when I change lanes.
Also, the LED reverse lights make a literal night and day difference in the backup camera. Someone mentioned the stock lights are weak, and honestly I never even had the chance to use them, but the aac leds give me a near-daylight picture in my camera.
I'm not going to say the car is perfect, it's huge compared to my cavalier, and half the time I can't park it straight when I back into a spot, but I only take it out for fun and that's what I get, every time...
