I tried to meet up last week but they were busy getting caught up with their 1LE emblems or something.

I have family in town the rest of this week, but I'll try to get with him again next Thursday. When I was speaking with him I mentioned I was going to C5Fest and that seemed to interest him.

Also, there's a guy in the Music City Camaro, Jeff, whose car
Black Beauty has a chrome liner set for his Terminator hood. I think he's friends with a local guy to him that does it.

actually, I wonder if getting some vinyl made for it would work, sort of like a wrap but on the inside of the hood.....wonder if it would be durable enough

It would probably be durable enough, but I'm not sure how well it would flatten out the rougher portions of fiberglass. I am shooting for next Thursday to meet with him again.

Update

Visited with Roger and his crew today and they took the measurements to start on a template. I'll be going back after the Fest to begin the test fitting process.

You may want to consider having your liner custom painted/ airbrushed. I had mine done by Corrado up in Toronto Canada. He does fantastic work. If you're interested in seeing mine please give me your email address I can forward you a couple of pics.

This was done by one of the guys in my club who has the same hood by a local artist and it looks good. He even had the drip pans painted too to match his theme. My only concern is that rough fiberglass texture still shows. These hoods don't have a liner like the stock ones do so you'd have to ship the whole dang thing lol.

This is a must for this hood. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

Meeting with Roger Friday morning to test fit his template! If it fits well, it shouldn't be long from production

Update Bump

Met with Roger this morning and the original template he designed ended up being a little too difficult to work with. Originally we were going to try and use the current attachment points for the rain guards but there is just too many little curves and bends and it would be difficult to get the metal to do what we needed.

So, we're just now going to do the center part of the underhood, which should be alot easier for him to design, and it will still allow for some degree of customization. The part will cover the center portion of the cowl that has the rough fiberglass look to it. It will also allow use of the rainguards still.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to bond a stainless steel panel to the fiberglass? Doublesided tape will probably not be the safest route to go in this case. I've been looking around and something like 3M Panel Bonder 8115 should work, although it would be a permanent solution.

I will meet again next Wednesday with Roger to line up the new template and if this one works, it should be good to go that day.

I understand there is no pricepoint yet, but how many people are interested in something like this?
