With that all said is probably not cheaper to add all these things later, nor really worth the time. And if you like and will use every option the 2ss might be worth it, I just dont think your missing out on much with the 1ss. And a few of the things like leather, bluetooth, gauges could all be added aftermarket for 2000 or less.

I changed from the 1SS to the 2SS because of this and because they were giving it to me for MSRP. But if you plan on having it for along time, why not go all the way with it?

I ordered the 2SS because I'm determined to purchase leather seats when given the option and I love what comes with the C&C package.

Plus, I'll be paying $98 over invoice, so it fits in the budget. =)

You cannot upgrade a 1SS to a 2SS! The 2SS has a totaly different sound system, special lights in the interior, Leather seats, and the top technology which includes the USB port and Universal Remote. Which I love and use btw.

I did not get a 2SS to say it was fully loaded, I got it because of the options. To say it is the top line Camaro is just a little gloating one can do, but either way I did not get it because of that, got it because I wanted the options. The BA sound system is better than my other car's Bose system, imo. I love having power seats and leather, and also love driving at night with the neon lights on the dash and doors.

I think for the most part, I would say 95%, people opt for the 1SS due to the price difference. If price is not an issue, you can bet they will get the 2SS.

I ordered the 2SS not because so I can say I have the top-of-the-line Camaro. I like the leather, power seats, good sound system and connectivity upgrade, the 4-pack gauge pod. Performance and exterior appearance-wise, 1SS and 2SS are same but why would I get the 1SS only to pay extra for these options?

IMHO only, not that I care much but the 2 things that make someone asking about or looking at your car sound a condenscending, "oh", are

engine size and interior. Come on, agree or disagree but what are the 2 of the top 3 things that people always ask when it comes to cars.

What engine is in it?
Is it leather interior?
What color?

I originally ordered a 2LT/RS and then looked at a 1SS and a 2SS. After seeing the 2SS and what was in it. I went for the 2SS and am very happy to say it was worth the extra $. Don't stangle yourself for cash here, get what you want as long as its w/ in your means. If you have to wait a little longer and save the extra cash for the 2SS, I recomend you wait and get it. Look if you buy the 1SS and then see the 2, you don't want to regret it. Good Luck

No you can not your right. But can you add the boston system and just check you can not add the convience package. But you can add things like leather, bluetooth, etc, if you would like later, if cost was an issue. The 2ss was not a cost issue, but it was a cost issue by the time i added in the RS, stripes and wheels. But its up to you. To me nothing is like having it from the factory, but blue tooth is an easy fix, and with some money so is leather

Wow... Am I a bad future Camaro owner because I completely forgot about ambient lighting before reading your post? That said, when I got to open up a 2LT at night, I thought the ambient lighting was perfect.

The blue ambient light is awesome. It makes the Camaro cool even at night driving it.

The only things form the 2SS options I really care about is the two-tone leather, the ambient lighting, the 4-pack cluster and ABL. I've read I can upgrade the BA system in the 1SS, but that is about it. I could care less about Blue tooth, USB, etc.

Of course,... I could just buy the 2SS and not use the things I don't want. But in the event I decide to go bluetooth whatever it is, it'll be there,... Maybe I'll find a great deal somewhere that'll get me the 2SS for a good price.


BTW,... I've been out to sea on a Navy deployment since the end of February. Can you believe I have yet to see a Camaro with my own eyes? LOL Two more weeks to go until I'm stateside! **man dances horribly but he doesn't care**
