I do have a close friend in Canada; let’s just say he has deep ties in GM Corporate Canada... I told him about what is going on. I too have a L99 that has the same problem as all of yours does in the Deep South. Humidity as been high here and the car won’t get out of its own way if you nail it from a dead start. My 0-60 runs have been in the low 6 second range as well. I have a bunch of soot built up in the end of the tail pipes and when you start it in the morning it drips black crap all over the garage floor. You would think as sophisticated as fuel injection is these days it could keep the car in the proper A/F ratio no mater what the temp or humidity is.
Anyway, his thinking is the torque management is pulling down too far and the A/F ratios are a victim of this. He would let me know what he can find out.

Dude. Stay on here and keep us updated with your car. Yours is the first I can recall from up North.

The first reply from my buddy...

Brian,

Another thing came to mind about the fuel calibration woes your friend(Scott)who is at the dealer is experiencing. Have him get the dealer to run a "snap shot" using the walk around on TSB #07-07-30-010B: Procedure to Take Snapshot Data with Tech 2 and Upload Data to Computer Using TIS Software - (Jun 19, 2009). Another thing to try is top level fuel or cut some race fuel into your regular fill up. The indicator of poor fuel quality will be the fuel trim will try to add fuel counts during part throttle Exhaust Gas Recirculation events. Lastly, monitor your front tires for accelerated wear as there has been complaints of steering twitchiness caused by too much toe in. Worth 2 tenths on the quarter. Also check brake pedal stoplight switch adjustment for dragging the front brakes. They seem OK cold but as the brakes heat up the car goes slower.

Later,

I believe he want to see a snap shot of Scotts system to see what he can see.

irpq, sell that thing and get you an LS3. I guarantee you will leave your wife far off in the rear view mirror. Plus, the M6 is much more fun to drive.

It's true. I'd prefer the auto because I got tired of shifting gears. I've done it all my life. But, I would trade now if I could. Only because of my problems. Once I get this thing going I'll be fine.

LS3's are having their own issues right now. Aren't some of them on hold because they're breaking parts when launched off the line?
I would feel a lot better going to the track with an L99 A6 than an LS3 M6.

Investigation is still pending. This could be affecting other cars too (i.e. 'Vette, Challenger, GT500, etc.) They're still working on figuring it out Give it a little time

Thanx for posting. You have a bit of a drop in mix ratio too. Mine seems to be lower but it's there. Hmmmmm

Easiest way is to go to UserCP on the forum, along the side you'll see Networking heading, under it will be "Pictures & Albums"
Go in there and hit add an album, and follow the steps

Once the image is in the album, click on it, below it you will see 2 links, Picture URL and BB Code. The BB Code you can just copy/paste right into your message, and it will appear. For pictures not on this forum, or on any site, right click and hit "copy image location" at the top of the reply window, you will see an icon of a little picture, click it and paste the picture link in there...and voila...pic is posted

for example...
[IM G]http://www.camaro5.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=667&pictureid=4205[/IM G] (spaced the G's so it wont work, just an ex)

That's the highest rwhp and tq I've seen from an L99 A6.

Your making over 400 ft lbs of torque at the crank.
