Anyone else as conflicted as I am?

On one hand a little upset about how long since your initial order and it is still not produced.

On the other hand glad that it is taking so long so that if there are any issues they get taken care of before it gets built.

I think I choose to go sit in a dandelion patch and relax.

No conflicts here. I chose to order the car because I want the car. I don't have a problem with waiting to receive my car, regardless of how long it takes. I also am not stressed out because my car may or may not be taking longer to get to me. And that's because there's absolutely no reason to stress over buying a car. If you're getting stressed waiting on a car, where do your priorities really lie?

In all honesty, I was assuming that I'd get my car in October. Getting it within the next month is amazing to me.

Note: The above is not aimed at anyone in particular. Just a general assessment.

Agreed ! Totally agree with you Venom....The car will get here, when it gets here. It's out of my control. I know, all of my fustration will be quickly forgotten when I sign the papers. GM has done the best they can period. End of statement. Anyone else that thinks otherwise, well I'm sorry.

I have neither the time nor the energy to read this entire thread.

All I can say is...I'm getting this car, and it will be a manual transmission ONLY!!!!

On top of that, they are still producing MN6s, that hit 3000 after some (including mine) (look at RJT Maro's)
In the same boat as you, pushed back my TPW to 8/3/09

And ya, RJT's order was at 2000 the same day I was at 2500, I was 3000 8 days before he was, and as of yesterday he's at 3800 with a VIN & I'm at 3300 with TPW pushed back to 8/3. Both LS3 manuals.

I wouldn't care if I thought it would save my car from being repaired for the gearbox, but from the sounds of things so far that's not the case.

Thank god after I get the car all this will be forgotten, but man, I cant afford this wait much longer, I'm running out of inexpensive mods I want to order before it gets here!

If I didn't want the car so much the wait would be easy, and totaly not worth it Great, now I have greatful dead stuck in my head

"Weee will get by...."

What is there to loose faith in? If anything, our faith in GM should be increased due to their recent actions. As stated by many people before me, they didn't put faulty transmissions in these cars on purpose. It's costing them more money than what it would have if they had put good ones in. Again, as stated many times before, they are not allowing potential faulty cars to get into the public's hands. They are taking the initiative to stop shipment TEMPORARILY to garantee we get the best cars we can get. I for one think that move deserves even more faith be put towards GM. I would only loose faith in them over this issue if they had let them go knowing something was wrong, which they didn't. And before anyone says, "Well, they obviously let some go because we're having them break in the customer's hands.", let me say that they can't test and account for absolutely every possible defect. SOMETHING's going to get by every time. Otherwise, our cars would have hundreds of test miles on them before they get to us.

Be cool, everyone. Don't loose faith because GM is doing everything they can.

Nicely put.

As a side note, sometimes I wish we had a reputation system on this forum like I've seen on some others.

If this was a corvette, and you had museum delivery, and your TPW changed twice you'd be screwed!
If this was a corvette (a low production car) this wouldnt be happening. The Camaro is a high production car.

Either way... Just hope the "issue" gets resolved soon. I must say, even though im still learning, I'm loving mine.

So when is GM going to announce the real problem with the trannys and when the cars will be fixed and shipped?
