But for what I have heard from Mustang guys, both cars in stock form the Mustang will blow the Camaro away. Personally, I don't like anything stock.....just my nature. Later this fall, I will find out what this cam can to at the drag track.

Maybe I'm missing something, but half the time when I log onto this site it shows sales figures for Mustang, Camaro and Challenger and the Camaro #s have typically been higher for the past few years. Sure there are more Mustangs in total by far, but comparing only the current generation of each respective car there are more Camaros.

Warehouse 13 Survivor!!!!

I saw the title of this post and was scratching my head trying to figure out how it could be 13 pages long. Now I know.
THIS is why I spent the last 3 years (after my '10 arrived, recently traded for a ZL1) away from this site, I feel bad for the OP that has to sift through these posts to see if anyone chimed in with info that is relevant to his question (yes I know I'm guilty now too). Here's my 2 cents. I spent the better part of my first 30 years with a 350 powered '69 Camaro, a car that Was given to me when i stil wore my underoos. It's what I grew up with, what I loved. It took a lot of years to escape my Chevy bias, helped by a 25 year stretch of not very good cars (IMO) from all of the big three. As time went by I began to appreciate the passion that owners have for their cars, I share the same passion of almost anything with 4 wheels. When the 5th gen Camaro was unveiled it restored my passion, but when there was talk on whether or not it would be built I looked at the GT500. Why? Because muscle cars are a way of life for most of us, I thought it was a great car, just not what I wanted. My point is this... A GT500 will beat my ZL1 in a straight line. Odds are I will take the GT500 on a road course. In the end it doesn't matter... I love my Camaro because its what I wanted, just like Mustang owners, Mercedes, Ferrari etc. No amount of magazine articles or talk of cheap interior will ever change the way I feel about it, and it shouldn't for anyone who is passionate about their car. |
