Trade-in value

What is the least amount I should take for my 2010 2SS/RS with 18,600 miles on it? One dealership that is stalking me for my car offered $26,000 for it. My car is paid for, I would be taking the money and putting it as a down payment towards a ZL1.

I think $26,000 sounds reasonable........ has it been beat on, like at the track at all ?? or does it have pampered miles on it ???

Pampered like a baby, never seen the track and I don't drive it hard at all. Mostly highway miles from me going back and forth from school as well.

$26,000 is a very good deal. I would be looking to pay $26k for a used SS from a dealer...let alone expect that in a trade.

26k from a dealer is a very good and fair offer. I paid 28k in the spring for my 2SS / RS with 5 k miles from a pvt owner

...when they get thru pushing the pencil around...you'll wind up paying them to take it ...if your not rushed to upgrade....some private individual would love to have a cream puff...and cash is King....see if you can sell it for the 26 they offered....you'll be money ahead

I am actually suprised that they offered you that much. They usually like to really lowball your trade.

For comparison sake, my wife traded in her '12 1LT convertible a few weeks ago. It had 3200 miles. Got $26,000 for it.

Not really any comparison in that at all... Apples to oranges really.

Before you sell it yourself, think of the tax savings as well.. That's 26,000 you don't have to pay tax on, so that's like another 2,000 saved on tax by taking it as a trade in! Sounds like a solid number to trade in at

I was offered $26,000 for mine last week here in San Diego. Mine has 7400 miles, I was just selling it with no intention of replacing it with another car. Garage queen just like new. Wife isn't buying the idea of selling it.

Trade in price means nothing if they want big bucks for the ZL1, take the 26K & then start talking on the ZL1, you'll know right away.
