Are allocations being excepted today?

With the factory shut down does that stop any progress in orders being accepted today?

If an order is put in the system you will get an order #. Computer system doesn't have the week off.

I wouldnt see the computer still pulling orders during shutdown week. In previous years when I worked in the auto industry our computers/orders didnt pull. We would run overime previous to shutdown to make sure on schedule. Our production engineers would make schuedule heavier in previous weeks so that the week we were off we wouldnt get behind. But we would only do shutdowns to recalibrate machines for new model products. Which really through a damper in restart cause even though machines had new programs we would always have troubles on restarts. Hopefully since there shouldnt be this happening since no changes will be done but if there are it may be slow for 1st few days to week of startup. Always seemed like it never failed. But to everyone still waiting you will be more than happy when you get to pick it up. Ive had mine almost a month and already have 2000 miles on her and still every day when I get in her it feels like I just picked her up! Hope this may help?

It's hard to say for certain about GM plant closures. Oshawa will remain open for future production of Camaro, Buick Regal ( aka Impala ), Hybrids and the new Cadillac XTS. But, this article in the Canadian "Financial Post" may shed a little comfort to the future production of the Camaro.

I should find out more about allocations tomorrow when I get my order number from the GM at my dealer. Hopefully, I can get a VIN.

the only person that can look up a dealers individual allocation schedule is the dealer themselves....no one else can do it, and they arent obligated to show you, so they probably wont. talk to your dealer and see whats going on...if they dont want to give you straight answers then find a new dealer.
