you're paying that much per month, or every 6 months?

I tried to get quotes through Progressive and Geico and the amount per month for full coverage on the SS1 is around $275 and the V6 is around $220. I have a clean driving record no tickets or accidents and cannot figure out why these quotes are so insane....

Does anyone know how to possibly prove or show that I have had insurance through my company's leased vehicles or am I SOL? This is the only reason I can think these rates are so high unless its because Baltimores insurance rates are this bad.

If I cannot get insurance at a reasonable rate of around $150 a month I am just going to have to drive something else as much as I had my mind set on this car.

265.00 a month

Got them to quote me the same vehicle in Chesapeake, VA

91.00 a month

Louisiana is one of the highest insurance states in the country, well a least according to my insurance company.

Pretty lame if you ask me.
All insurance companies in the LA/MS area are running scared. Can you say Hurricane Katrina???

WOW i was quoted $135 to 145 a month at state farm for the following vehicles 2010 Camaro SS, 2010 Shelby GT500 and 2009 C6 Vette. Im 27 with 1 ticket also, your insurance company might as well bend you over.

But then again I am 17....

And I'm still not sure who to go through It seems to everyone, a 17 year old that bought his own V8 Camaro would drive it fast, but I mean, come on! I'm a teenager, I don't drive fast.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm in Florida.....might ahve something to do with it?
If I were you, I'd settle with a 1SS. It probably wont be too much cheaper.

Depending on where you are in Fl. you can drive fast at the track! For instance, go to Sebring or one of the drag strips there.

I swapped my VW Passat out for the Camaro, and my rates went up 3 bucks a month.

Does anyone else on here have Eerie Insurance? I'm 28 and I'm paying like $700 a year for the a 2SS camaro. Now I've never had any speeding tickets, been in an accident, or anything at all. I also have my homowners insurance with them. I used to have state farm and Eerie was way cheaper than state farm for me even on my mustang so I switched to them 2 years ago.

Check with your human resources department and get a copy of the company's insurance policy to show when getting quoted for your current insurance. I had to do this also since my primary vehicle is also a company vehicle and I didn't have a personal vehicle or insurance for a while.

Received my rate from my State Farm agent yesterday, $72.33 per month for a 2SS/RS. Not bad from what I have seen...
