A6 Shift points?
What's the normal/standard shift point rpm at WOT. I wanted to see the acceleration at WOT. I was in D and I noticed I hit almost 5500-6000 before it shifted into 2nd? Since it went that high I flicked the tapshift to shift down.
I'm sure it's normal. In previous cars I would never really open at WOT, if I did it was rare so when I actually noticed it in the Camaro I'm not too sure. It's a 2012 1LT w/ 19k on it.

Don't you mean you shifted up? But yeah, in S mode it shifts between 5-6k for me.

Yeah shifted up to 2nd. My bad (shame on me, I drove a manual before this one lol)
I was in D but I was at WOT. Should it be the same even in D? I feel like that is high. I'm not to rpm savvy however.

In "D" the trans starts in 2nd gear, so at WOT it would have shifted to 3rd. In "S" the trans starts in 1st gear and shifts accordingly.

I didn't hit the redline, but I was just like, "D" took me to 5500-6000 at WOT before it shifted... not sure if that's normal, or a trans issue?No other issues though, no hard shifts, no sounds, noises or anything. I might just be looking into it too much.

Try doing it while you are in sport mode "S". When it is in sport mode I am pretty sure it will shift automatically when it redlines. When it is in sport mode the gears will shift much harder by itself rather than it would in "D". Good luck.

Thanks. Normally I don't push the rpms, but I figured I'd see what it can do. Once I noticed I was getting to almost 6000 in "D" I hit the tapshift.

when i put my car into sport mode it shifts just before the red line at WOT

Yeah, try going to "S" mode right from a standstill and hit the gas in first and let off....you want to talk about a roller coaster ride of putting you back in your seat, ha, it is awesome.

In D at WOT it gets pretty high. I know, I do it every time I drive it
