Oh, believe me, it's not always fun. It's just one of those things you can no more help than, say, you think your hair looks best parted on the right. (if I had hair!) I kind of hate this relatively new saying but, 'it is what it is.'

So... dirty, long road riders who don't fret over such trivial things, enjoy the ride. For the rest of us, hopeless, anal-retentive practitioners of the soap and wax, enjoy your clean ride as well!

May the road dust and bird guano fall only on Mustangs!

Actually, 10 over and leave a 20 foot gap from the car in front. Pass them as soon as possible. I wash every weekend and if it is over 10% chance of rain it stays in the garage. I will instead take out the suburban that costs twice as much when its raining, weird huh! Every time I spot a white splotch on the roof I immediately wipe off. Birds sure do like to shit on clean shiny black cars! Double park in the last 2 spots farthest away from the door. I got the opened the door one time for my girlfriend, she was flattered. I just laughed and said, "Oh no, I just didn't want my door to hit that other car"

Some of us take pride in keeping our vehicles in the best condition possible. I have owned plenty of beaters in the past, and treated them accordingly. But, if I'm spending my hard earned money on a new vehicle, I intend on keeping it in excellent condition. Some guys don't care if their car is dirty, but when I step outside and see my car filthy and/or covered in swirl marks, it irritates me. I enjoy washing and detailing my vehicle, as well as maintaining it. When I look at a nice vehicle, I notice every flaw, that's just how I am. I still drive my car hard, and enjoy it, when the conditions allow. A new car is supposed to be in good shape, but what I really enjoy, is when my DD is 5+ years old and still looks showroom, inside and out, like it did the day I drove it off the lot.

Pretty Crazy, but that will be a great car for someone else to buy when you sell it. Glad that your anal about it so someone else can enjoy!

Everybody is different. Mine stays in the garage, washed, waxed and covered waiting for a sunny day. If someone else wants to drive theirs in the snow, salt, cinders, mud, slop, etc., that's their deal. Throw McDonald's wrappers and empty Pepsi bottles all over the floor too. If some people enjoy riding around in a garbage dumpster, that's their deal. Beat the living piss out of it, it's not mine, it's yours, enjoy it.

I'm with you ... All three of my cars stay out 24/7, ya they get dirty and washed once a week and the Z gets fuel twice a week ...

Earlier I was asked if I take up two parking spots. Add that to my list of nevers. Too many scumbags looking to key (or worse) just because it's a nice Camaro. I don't want to draw any more attention than it already does.

I have an 02 SS with 2500 miles on that has never been in the rain. While it's nice to have a new car, I look back and look at all the enjoyment I missed by not driving the car. That being said, drive it and enjoy it.

We drove our 2001 WS6 to about 190K miles, and loved every one of them. When we sold it before the 1LE got here, it had some dents, brights did not work, speakers and power window motors had been replaced, clear had flaked off the hood, but when clean, she sill looked good and still ran great. We keep the 1LE in the garage (just like the WS6), wash it once a week or more, but will drive the you know what out if it. As it gets older, it will transform from a street car to more of a track car. It will have dings (in fact with 3000 miles on it, found a small one this weekend), some things will not work (or work right), and we will love putting every mile on it! To each his own, but if I wanted a piece of art to look at, I would buy a painting of a Camaro, not a car!

I'm so glad I got a mass produced Camaro instead of a one of a kind hand built exotic like most of the people on here.
