I raced home when I saw the storms coming. Glad I did!

Maybe I missed it, but is any of the glass cracked? That looks awful. I hope everything works out for you.

Somewhere on youtube there is a video of a PDR shop that had a car with over 500 hits on it, they showed the process, and when they got done you would never know what had happened. See if you can find it, you might be amazed.

About 1990 I had a car out in a hail storm. It was a convertible and almost every panel had to be replaced along with my top that now had a sunroof from hail. I wish it would have been totaled since the entire car had to be repainted & was never the same in quality.

Sadder was my apartment neighbor. She had just gotten her Prelude out of the body shop not 48hrs before due to getting hit by someone.

Thats terrible. I hope they can fix all of that, or settle up with you to your advantage.

Thank you for posting this- The same front is forming a line of storms near here as I type this. Its been a busy week, and I haven't paid attention to the weather nationally.

Would a thick car cover have prevented this?

My car gets covered, and I am just wondering if anyone has experience with 2 cars side by side in the same storm, one covered and one not.

If you consider a garage a thick cover yea. It would have been fine. No fabric cover will stop hail damage. If anything it would make it worse because covers just cause damage themselves when on a car if the car is outside.

If your car is stored outside and you cover it you most not care about your paint.

That really sucks but all can do do now is get to your insurance guy and get things rolling. I had an old f-150 that was so bad that it looked like somone beat the roof with a hammer, I'm talking chrome and all around the glass and they paid to get it fixed but the ding removal guy can only do so much as near edges and on creases, good luck
