Am I crazy... Swap for Corvette C5 vert?

http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/cto/3988412525.html

I saw this posted on my local craigslist. I love my car more than anything but it really got me thinking... I'm always trying to make it go faster, be better, perform more. That's tough to do with the v6. I know for sure I'd wanna go forced induction in the future, which would cost around 5k. I still owe 5k on my car as it is too. But if I were to swap for the Vette I'd have the power of having my car with a blower on it and be able to pay off what I owe and just own it outright. I think our cars are a lot prettier but the vettes do have their own appeal to them. Not to mention its a vert and has a double din already. This is just food for thought as it stands, but what are you guys opinions on this? All stigmas about vette owners aside...

ehh if it was the 1998 z06 i would be more inclined to say yeah. i mean with basic bolt-ons this vette would def be very fast, stock it makes around 350hp so it could be 400 with the basics. i never liked the look of the c5's but they have their own appeal to some. i would say pass on it IMO.

Agreed, 100%. Offer him $12k and then it would be worth it.

That car is going on 16 model years behind, it could've been made in 97'.. That's pretty old compared to the Camaro.. It just doesn't make sense to trade for such an old car, I'd keep what you got n pay that bad boy off!

If you're going to do it find a better one. The one thing I realized while owning a vette is that a lot of people don't drive them. You can find a practically new looking one owner C5 with 10k miles or below for a great price especially now that the C7 is coming out.

Double Din usually is talking about the radio.
You have a single din ( big enough to hold a cd player)
a din and ahalf ( 4 gen camaros had them)
and a Double din (95% of touch screen radios are double dins (2013 camaros))

I should've actually made the title sell my car for c5 vert. If I were to go this route I'd sell my car as is with all the mods etc., probably for around 19k. Then buy the vette and use the left over cash toward what I owe on the car loan. But I think you guys are right regarding finding a better one too. This just happened to pop up on craigslist and sparked my interest.
