Not sure what the cost of gutting and rebuilding is but I BELIEVE you can buy the performance version of the TR6060 direct from Tremec under the name T56 Magnum. You pick from a couple ratio options and it is built to handle more power. The difference is the shifter integration so you won't be able to use a stock style shifter.

The Magnum 500xl will not be released for the Camaro until the end of this year. I spoke with tremec at Syracuse nationals about this transmission. Rockland standard gear has a few options available that eliminate the body mount shifter ranging from 4000-5800.

We have a process where we take the stock axles and polish and match the internals along with a better boot and Neo Hpcc1 grease that allot of the Road Race cars use.
