Yes, but no worse than those blackout things you see everywhere. There is also that bar in the window

Those are illegal for highway use in every state I know of, no need to give cops an excuse to pull you over plus if you are rear ended you may be at fault if your brake lights are hard to see. Just saying be careful when blacking out lights.

Since I've always seen them, I assumed they were legal. From what I can find on the net doesn't look like they are. So I guess I'll be pealing them.

I really feel its the smart thing to do but it's up to you, I just wanted you to know the possibilities of problems down the road so to speak. But do what you feel you need to do.

I had tinted lens on my vette. Not very dark but yes, very illegal. You could see the brake lights just fine but I was begging for a ticket. Never got pulled over but that was sheer luck. Had them on for 3 years.

Painted the Bow Ties since GM decided to make them with a ruff texture so we could not apply vinyl.

Yeah My cousin lives in Brunstucky. She bought one of those Geo Storms I think it was called. Came with factory tint. After a couple tickets the officer told her, I'm going to set here(end of her driveway) and ticket you every time you pull out.
