Such an easy and cheap mod that makes a huge difference. I'm off to Hobby Lobby to find some inferno orange (or close to it). Gonna attack mine this afternoon. Can't wait!

Kristen - get an orange Elmer's Paint Pen. The pens with dye in them just don't come out bright enough. I did this to my stock seats (with a red Elmer's Paint Pen) and it matched my red paint perfectly.

Sweet! Thanks. I just got home with no luck on the right type of orange. About to get on the computer to look it up.

Be sure to test the Elmers in an inconspicuous location before doing the whole job. I started with Elmers and it sticks to the leather very easily.
Look at some (most) of the photos in this thread closely and you'll see what I mean.
I switched to the dye pen after doing just a few inches of stitch and then scrubbing furiously to get it off. I didn't just slather it on either, I was careful.

Just my experience, yours may vary.

For mine I ended up using a fabric pen from my local Micheal's craft store. It took about four of them, but it turned out great! I've had blue on my stitching for 10 months now and it still gets compliments. I went over each stitch three times to make sure to get it good and dabbed the leather with a paper towel to remove the excess. I don't know if its possible on a cloth interior, but on my leather interior it took about three hours time

Rightfully so!
You'll need a steady hand and a lot of patience.

I've been contemplating doing this for a while now. The 45th has red and blue stitching on the seats, steering wheel and shift knob, but it stops there. I changed my shifter out and didn't reuse the stock knob. I want to dye the shift boot and if I get one, a leather boot for the e brake.

Used the Deco Marker on mine (yellow) and it didn't really hold up on places where it was always being touched. I only did the door armrests as a test and ended up pulling them off and replacing them after about a month. Any place not touched looked great but it was wearing off where touched.

I did mine red, but it came out light. Don't use a paint. Use a dye marker. I used a marker to go over my original dye and it came out much better and did not clump.

Wondering how (if any) was the smell after all the coloring?
My car still has that new car smell, and don't want to kill that just yet.

Also, anybody find a pen that comes close to the Blue Ray Metallic color?

Thx
