Could you fill us in on the EXACT process of pulling off the door panel? I am putting in a new component set tomorrow and I would like to do this right!

Are you sure you got INFERNO ORANGE spray paint?

Instead of just orange spray paint?

Can you explain this further?

Well after burning an entire weekend building sub woofer boxes, soldering and mounting equipment, I finally upgraded my sound system's lows. The after market components and 6x9s get installed on Thursday and the guy is giving me a deal I simply cannot refuse. The 6x9s and components are GM installed btw.

This subwoofer install was completely custom made by me and my good friend James Wheeler who helped me design the boxes. I must also thank Camaro5.com for displaying the wiring guide which allowed me to complete the process! The wiring guide worked perfectly!

For those of you who were curious, I went with 3/4" 12ply plywood (pine) and used stain I mixed up at the HomeDepot to give that grey effect. The grills were spray painted inferno then everything was WAXED to give it that plastic look.

The sub woofers also will not be permanent untill Thursday night when I can cut the power from the stock amp and solder the components and 6x9s to my after market 600Watt Premier 4 channel PRS amplifier.

Those quad ten's are powered by a 1200Watt RMS 1ohm competition amplifier that punches out soo much power, my boxes actually flex and want to get out of the trunk when the system is cranked.

NOW, the issue I have which ticks me off is my rear view mirror is horrible. I slopes down and is now useless when I listen to tunes. Vibrations are soo strong that I can instantly slope the rear view mirror all the way down from up top and if I have a penny in plastic cup, I can almost bounce the penny right out when in the cup holder.

The bass ends up being clean and not hard on the ears as you may think. I dont normally play at high volume and prefer to enjoy the quick responsiveness of the tens.

If anyone has any questions about anything, please ask and I will try my best to answer them.

Without further due... my install...

Trunk wise, after Thursday, I will go hunting for thin 1/4" plywood and cut a circular shape to fit over the tire. Then I will go and buy some carpet from a local Zellers/Walmart the size between the boxes and also carpet for the boxes to sit on. Believe it or not, depending on the carpet, carpet actually minimizes vibration so I might go all gun ho and go all crazy. There will be more photos after Thursday as well for everyone too see!

But the photo is decieving. This is what they look like in the kit and the GTS logo can be pealed right off very easily;
