Not a must have yet. Still near the beginning of my build pretty much. If I knew the fitment was this tight I would have gone with the smaller one. I'm not willing to wait to trade that in either. I would like to drive it before the snow comes.. Not to mention it has Scrape marks now.. lol.

I tried cutting the heat shield and it ended up rubbing on the other end.. damn metal warp! Haha.

You're ok grinding them down flat. That is common practice when you f*ck up a weld . The part of the weld where the strength lives is where the 3 pieces meld... 2 pieces being welded together, and the filler if applicable. Anything else can be removed.

As others have already said, just remove the heat shield, you'll be fine.

Lol. Tell me about it! 3rd time I've took it apart to try and make it fit! See where I took a grinder to the stock middle knuckle DS bracket in the second pic?

I have a DSS aluminum driveshaft. I took the heat shield out and have been running without it for years. But you my friend have bigger issues. If you are rubbing on that much $hit there is a clearance problem and you need to call Gforce about it. That should bolt right up with all that hacking. Your $hit is starting to look like swiss cheese.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

Agreed.

I have a GForce driveshaft in my car, no rubbing.

Nope, the DRs are in the plastic bags.

Sorry Axis and nyrfan. I am still a little cranky from dealing with Sprint this afternoon. I have HAD IT with them and after 13+ years am going to be switching to Verizon tomorrow.

3 hours in BB, 16+ phone calls to Sprint, 4 of which I got hung up on, and I still do not have a new phone. UUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!! I even have a preferred friends and family of an employee plan that is majorly discounted and I am still going to switch. It may cost more a month but at least my calls will not be dropped and I will get better customer service.

Oh, camshaft.... He, he, he.
