Borla Atak

So i plan on getting this borla atak cat back system http://www.borla.com/products/camaro...t__140356.html

sorry for my ''noobness'' but I have a few questions, I tried doing some research on it but it was hard to find exact answers. thanks in advance for the help.

so my question is if I buy this system will I have any problems putting headers to it down the road?

and if so what extra work will i have to put into it to get the headers on.

You should be fine. Stock mid pipes are 2.5 inches in diameter, and from what the site is saying, they are 2.5 as well. I have the borla atak axle back on mine with the stock mid pipes along with kooks 1 7/8" long tube headers with hiflow cats and they mounted up perfectly. So if you plan on putting headers on down the road you shouldn't have any issues

I would keep doing research. Borla Atak is good, but if you plan on adding headers later there are better options. At least from what I have read on these forums. From my reading the ATAK gets a bit too loud w/ headers. Supposedly borla makes a different style muffler that would sound better with headers.

ATAK sounds good, especially when you get on it.

I have an axle back Borla ATAK with 500 miles on them and it was sold so I thought, I could make you a smokin deal on them if you dont live to far away. They really are in mint shape. Kansas City.

The guy lived in Colorado and it was gonna be $43 shipping, If it was under $150 to ship I could sell them for $550 Shipped. You would then have to buy x pipe if u wanted to get rid of the resonators.

Borla's stuff should be stainless steel on both series 300 and 400. The S series sport or touring would be better on the ears if you end up getting the headers. I have a set of the S series from the Cats back and it will be a much better sound.

if you want something that is 304 stainless and is guaranteed to sound great with and without LT headers take a look at the stainless works retro chambered. it is louder than the atak setup.
