So who would you have to contact at Mattel to inquire about the possibility of them producing a larger version of the HWSE? Or to see if it may already be on the horizon...

I was hoping they might have some sort of a promo model that would come with the car. Remember the interview with the HW designers?
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...wheels+special

And more specifically, this:
"Will buyers get a Hot Wheels version of their car when they purchase?

Felix Holst: We’re working through that scenario. It’s something, that from the very outset, we wanted to do. Obviously, in muscle-car circles, numbers-matching is something that’s very important and we want to take that a step further.

We’re trying to look at the logistics that you’d get a numbers-matching, limited edition Hot Wheels car with your purchase of a real car. Logistically, it’s not as easy as you might think, but it’s something we’re still committed to try and work out, because we believe it would really be the icing on the cake."

I guess it must have fell through huh?

I've collected a few of the Hot Wheels 1/64th in the blister packs and even used one on my cup holder delete as the handle (I'll post a pic one of these days). Anyone else collecting them?

I've got the same amount of the 1/64th HWSE as you.....maybe even a few more, I lost track. I had 3 or 4 of them before I even bought the real thing, but now that I have the 1/1 scale, I buy them whenever I come across them. It's like a sickness!

If you didn't already know, Chevy also made some larger 6 1/2" by 10" Blister Pack style promo cards for the HWSE cars. I'm assuming they had them at the car shows that had the HW on display before they started production. I would have thought that for a $7,000 special edition they might have thrown one in the glove compartment along with the owner's manual, but I had to get mine off of Ebay.

I would love to get as many as anyone can find of the Hot Wheels cars. I have the real car and we take it to car shows. We hand out the hot wheel cars to the kids that come along and like the cars. I will buy as many as I can get to be able to continue doing this. Thank, Dave

I now have 15 of the 1/64th Hot Wheels cars. Really...who do we need to contact to get the ball rolling on a larger scale model?

I'm thinking of converting one of the available R/C cars into a HWSE....but I'm still looking for a point of contact at Mattel and still interested in a larger scale car

Hell, I'd be happy with just a decal sheet. Wheels might be an issue though.

It'll be hard to get a company to spring for it because there were only ~1500 made. They'd be lucky to sell 2000 total, might not be enough to really get ERTL or the other companies interested.

Edit: Though you *MAY* be able to get Hot Wheels company to make one since it has their name on it afterall.
