Yep managed to get some free time and got across Saturday evening

Track on Wednesday to see how it does - but gonna be needing some drag radials before I do anything close to what it's capable of - these stockers are shot and they didn't hook before so no chance now haha!

what warranty???? that went out the window when I put the cam in.
Talked to both Kevin at Vengeance Racing and Brian at Brian Tooley Racing and they said stay away from Mobil1.
Kevin said they've tested every aspect of a failure when its happened and ALMOST ALWAYS has come down to mobil1 failing, thats why they no longer use it in there engine builds.
And if the best spring builder ( imo ) is saying mobil1 fails in ls3 built motors well im kinda inclined to take the word of a professional who does nothing but build and test the most used and strained part of the motor.
gotta remember my car is driven everyday, slow, mild and wild. the oil has to be able to keep up with those demands. its not changed every 500 miles, and it doesn't sit for long periods of time.

these guys say don't use it, so im not gonna.

Actually, It's not just those guys - a ton of the more well known Camaro shops working on the LS3 all say that Mobil 1 used to be great, but is no longer recommended.

There was a thread on here about it not so long ago - I'll try to find it and post the link - it was an interesting read
