plus with the tap shift option, i figured it was a no brainer for me at least.
was looking at getting a GTR, - swore i would get manual, they said they were only available in auto - with the same tapshift option. damn thing was $100K. |

No one is a p***y for wanting one over the other. It's a matter of preference. My preference was the V8 manual. I love driving manual, especially in a sports car. I'm 31.

22 , ordered 2LT/RS Automatic. I wanted the engine with the newest technology (V6 - Direct Injection), and chose the Automatic because I wanted paddle shifters. Im all about technology, so in my eyes... Automatic w/ Tapshift is the latest and greatest. I can control the gear shifts if I want to, or chose the let the CPU do it.
Plus... being my daily driver, I cant work my iPhone, eat, smoke, or play with my girlfriend next to me if I'm too busy working the stick and the clutch, now can i ?? ![]() I know manuals have more performance potential... but all i ask for is

39 yr old male...this will probably wind up being a good-weather / weekend toy. BUT I ordered the automatic. Considering doing some drag racing with it, and also plan a power adder and from what I've read in the other discussion rooms, the Tremec is rated for about 10% more HP/TQ than the factory ratings...not to mention the fact that I'm getting lazier the older I get.
If someone can convince me that the Tremec can take an additional 100-150 HP, I might switch to an M6. I'm really still on the fence... Last manual was a TT Quattro 225 and loved it, but it was a little hard to talk on the phone, eat a burger, fiddle with the music, and shift all at the same time....

17 year old male-Manual
I got he manual for many reasons. First, it's an important skill to learn and master. Second, people say that it's more fun. Third, it's cheaper. And last but not least, it will give me an excuse to use to brush away undesirables (See: stupid teenage classmates who think they are in the Fast and Furious movies) when they ask to drive my car.

57 and auto trans. I bet I've been able to experience something not many others have. I picked my 2SS RS Silver/CGM up June 1st exactly 40 years ago to the day that I picked up my brand new White/Black 1969 Z28 Camaro.
