Incorrect - It hasn't even been to the track yet so it can't get a better time - ANY time would be a start - that was the plan for tonight but not sure weather will play nice



No - changed the Crank Pulley and Supercharger Pulley



Boost is not necessarily an indication of how hard the supercharger is spinning - yes they are linked, but Boost is also affected by everything else on the car such as Headers, Meth, Octane of Gas etc - when I add the Cam boost will fall but the supercharger will be working at the same RPM.

The important thing to make sure when changing Pulleys/Belts is that you do not overspin the Supercharger and take it outside of it's recommended limits - the TVS1900 can be spun safely upto 23,000 RPM (Stock is 16,900).

I opted for a pulley combination of 11% OD and 2.55" SC pulley - as you can see from the following document I am within the acceptable and reliable range for the Supercharger on my car:



Some people with ZL1's are overworking them - I am not one of those people.



Why?

You have a Superchiller so of course your IAT2s are going to be much lower than mine - that's not going to be a surprise at all.

I will have IAT2s that are within the range of the tune on my car so as to not pull timing - that's all that is important.

When the club has an IAT2 Temps league I'm sure you'll comfortably win - but in the meantime I'll focus on the 1/4 mile times....

Possibly - although the ZL1 clutch is pretty stout - stronger than the SS one anyway. I guess we'll see tonight.

Drag Radials will be needed before a clutch though haha!

Well if you're gonna throw a comment in that I got a crap time and I'm hiding then of course I'm gonna come back at you - I'd expect nothing less if it was the other way round either

It's all good though, and to me this is all just banter and part of the fun of having the fast list in the first place!

As for cooling - the thing with meth is that it's not going to do diddly squat until it sprays, and it only sprays once I'm on it - so I think I'm going to have to upgrade the HX to deal with temps for cruising round and for idling - that's where the chiller is going to work better for sure.

The meth will help in the 1/4 mile I think though - and of course it guarantees octane too which was another reason for going that route - but I guess we shall see if it ever stops raining and I can actually get the damn thing out!

It's clear meth helps more on a centrifugal SC setup though rather than a Roots setup that we have - but we have some ideas to play around with there.

I didn't actually have the car with me at karting so nobody has seen it yet really - tonight would have been the first time it got out properly - I've not even gone full throttle in it yet

And hope you got sorted with whatever the drama was that made you miss karting
