dealer bumper to bumper with new GM parts installed by dealer who should know your car. aftermarket warranty uses aftermarket or used parts by some one who may have never worked on a 5th gen camaro.

I should have bought a ZL1

Not always dealers also sell "aftemarket" warranties also thats what they use mostly for used cars (not their normal brand).

What you have to do is if it is a aftermarket one read the fine print. just the other day i read about someone whos transfer case went out on their truck. the repair was like 1200 and thrie "warranty" would only cover 500.

If going the GM route you need to make sure you are still in the factory 3/36 warranty.

GM extended warranty can be used at any GM dealer any where. It is the best choice provided you car is still under the original new car warranty.
