Dimple Plugs...

So I'm looking to get a Dimple plug for my LS3 in my 2013 SS/1LE.

I know this is what I need for the engine... http://www.drainplugmagnets.com/recentgmandbuick.php

Now for the Diff and Trans I got the sizes from my dealer.

Trans = 1/2" x 14 and you need 2 each

Differential = M20 x 1.5 and you need 2 each

Now I'm not one to be cheap but these things are all $35 each. That adds up to $175! Is this a little overkill? Also if anyone knows the parts please double check me.

The Trans plug can be found on the NPT page and the Differential plug is listed as a Subaru plug.

Thanks for any input.

Richard made me a deal I couldn't refuse. You'd think he was an Italian Godfather... lol

Not only did I get The Engine plug but I got 2 of each for the trans and diff, he talked me into the Super Black Hole magnets for the Oil Filter.

The car is going to be slower now due to the magnetic pull towards the core of the earth... LMAO!

I put in a Dimple plug when I did the first oil change at 375 miles. I just changed it again at 1,026. No flakes or metal pieces, but there was a metallic-like paste all over the plug. Money well spent. Ordering Dimple plugs for the rear differential next.

The diff plugs are already magnetic, and pretty strong too from what I remember when I had mine out.

Have you actually checked it? Before ordering I would take the top plug out and check since you can take it out without losing any fluid.

The stock plugs in the diff are magnetic. You will think they are strong until you compare them to the dimple plug.

It's akin to the factory plug beimg a .22 cal and the dimple is a .45 cal.

The difference is that drastic...

Ummm, thought you were talking about the oil plug, which I did check.

I use a FilterMag magnet that wraps around the filter. It definitely caught a bunch of grey metallic "dust". It cost about $65 dollars and I figure the plugs in the diff and trans are good enough (I'll be changing those fluids tomorrow).
