Remember, these supercharger heat exchanger is not the radiator, charged with cooling the motor while the car sits idling. That is a job that requires a fan, yes. The blower is not at work building boost while the car is idling at a light so the load is minimal. All of my data logs show a 7-8 degree increase in temps with a 736 RWHP ZL1 while sitting at stop lights or in staging lanes for several minutes on a very hot day. AS SOON at the throttle is cracked, the temps come right back down to ambient plus 8*. That is with the radiator fan not on, pulling any air in. Fans are not needed and I would suggest a thicker core instead. Ours is 4" thick. Overall perfomance is without equal. |

Agreed. More than fine when you increase the core thickness. If you much have a fan, just dial the stock radiator unit to come on sooner in the tune and pull air across the HX and radiator.

On a 110 degree day our unti will see about 121-122 degrees in traffic. At the stock tune starts pulling timing. At 195 degree Iats you have lost 6-10 degrees of timing. Are you sure you are not talking about the out engine coolant temps? Are you data logging? Guys seem to cross both temperatures up often when reporting numbers. Yours seems like an engine coolant temp # IMO. |

I had my H/E fan relay fail last time at the strip and I lost nearly 4mph in trap speed due to heat soak. This is why I say fans ftw.
