Talking Camaro SS "starter" mods

What are the first 3 modifications you would recommend to a new Camaro SS owner?

This is in an effort to create a thread that can be linked to when a new members asks, "Where should I start?", "What are the best mods?".

1) Catch can

2) Air intake

3) Skip Shift Eliminator (if manual transmission), Range AFM/DOD Delete Module (if auto transmission)

#1 & #2 are exactly what I've done so far. #3 will be a ported throttle body & #4 will be a strong MAF if necessary on my L99 car.

I think it all depends on warranty concerns. My first three skip shift eliminator hurst shifter and bmr subframe connectors (only cause I get a good price)

I agree. That's why I'm starting on the intake side. Headers and tune will come after I'm "over it".

Great recommendation. Start on the intake side and hold out on the mods that require tuning until you are ready to take responsibility if a drive train issue were to arise.

The catch can is mental masturbation.

1) CAI

2) Headers/axle back

3) Tune

Those are the simplest three and they are fairly easy to DIY. Sure taking the car for a dyno tune is the best but the handhelds are pretty good too and they do make power.

Then we need TWO lists, one that keeps the warranty intact and the other that tosses it out the window.

Headers, intake, tune. If manual add a cheap 4th skip shift.

I have been told ported throttle body not that important.

CAI should be number one
