I actually hit (3400 - broadcast) which basically means it's on the line. And still got pushed back.

It's frustrating that they are bumping up MN6 into my build slot, and pushing me back, for no apparent reason. If it has to do with tranny serial number, why not just give me the transmission of a later build?

This whole ordeal just makes me wanna pull my hair out and buy something else.
The info I have is in my sig, looks like I hit 3000 2 days after you.

I'm still not clear on the jump from 3400-3800, broadcast to me sounds like it's in line to get on the line, but may not be actually ON the line because you can be at 3400 for a long time, but once you hit 3800 you're built. Probably because it does not take terribly long to go from in the parts bin to on it's wheels once it hits the line.

It's all speculation at this point, but my best guess is that the parts (at least the big ones like engine, tranny, with SN of their own) may be actually assigned to your vehicle. So if you have a tranny assigned to vehicle that is one of the known bad ones, you're waiting to get a new one sent to the plant.

Again, complete speculation... but it would make sense to me that the tranny manufacturer (Tremec or however it's spelled) has figured out where the problem is on their end. This problem is likely a very small % of their total transmissions. Whatever the cause (a bad casting of something, poor metallurgy, someone having spouse issues) it would be limited to that batch (even if the batch is a part that goes into all the tranny's and there's several people / lines making the part). Now that batch may have gone into various transmissions but they may keep pretty good records being able to tell exactly which S/N's were affected (in a ideal situation). Then it's just a question of hunting down those specific transmissions.

Or aliens could have abducted the good parts for a hot rod project they have Chip Foose and Egrbndrabdft Scnargzrefthramenglp collaborating on in a galaxy far far away for a guest spot on who wants to be an American Alien

Either way, it happened, I'm sure we'll hear why and as much hair pulling as I'd like to do I know it's just wasted effort cause it's all coming out eventually anyway :(

And I'm not going to settle for a car I don't want, don't like, or cant afford.

I need a back seat, I would like to buy something new, I require power. That pretty much leaves me with a GT500 but for that kind of money I'd move over to a M3 sedan or C63 AMG probably & get a real back seat or a CTS-V if it's in the same price range (but I don't think it is, the one I saw in the show room was like $80k).

Regardless, none of the other cars matter, because I want this one. I don't (cant now that wife needs a new car) want to pay more. I don't want to settle. If there were a product as good for the same money I may have picked it to save myself the wait, but last I checked, there isn't.

So for me, I'll just let the do it's own dirty work, and hope to hear updates to keep my OCD/ADD (really I'm sure it all ties to a lack of these days ) compulsive... whatever... to a minimum.

I know, I know, TLDR, right?

My time line is almost identical to valley's. I went 3300 on 6/23 and had a tpw of 7/13. Now I'm back to 3000. I really don't mind waiting my turn when there are guys that have been waiting months ahead of me. It just bothers me that there will be cars that were ordered after mine that will be produced ahead of me :(

I feel the same way. If a R6P guy bumped me, that's fine. But what makes me mad is all these non R6P still bumping me.

I know what you are saying Matt, don't settle for less. But I'm also a man that believes in signs. A normal order shouldn't go like this. Heck a dude even got on in 5 weeks! So half of me says "maybe i shouldn't buy this car"

Name another car where a "normal order" would mean being in line with 25,000 other orders before you can just walk on to most any dealer and see the car on their lot. There's nothing normal about this situation.

I believe in signs too, but I'm paying attention to the ones like 426 hp for about $32k

What I meant is that hardly anyone else is going through this or had gone through this. Plenty get held up in QC (that's expected). Many are still at 1100 (allocations are expected). But to just be jumping all over the place from accepted to scheduled, to accepted to scheduled, to broadcast, to accepted is just hair pulling. Stop messing with my emotions GM...

I just sold the Vette, and sold our other car. So the wife and I are down to 1 car for a while.

There's no way I'm cancelling my order for this sweet machine! Can't wait to cruise this beast. I just thought I would be rubbing my sweet ride in the face of my friends by the end of this month lol

The speculation that the basic drive train components are serial # assigned is a very good assumption. The entire m6 build process must have gone haywire. If it is any consolation, believe that they have isolated what they consider to be problems for whatever the reason, and are correcting these cars before they are built. This can only be a good thing, although it is an inconvience. Lets try & stay cool here, these cars are well worth the wait.

Ya, the playing with emotions I can definitely agree with

I sold my vette months ago when I placed my (first) order. When I traded it in I was told "they would make it work" in regards to allocation. After 2 months and no actual order placed I took my cash for my car & ordered with the only place in Florida WITH allocation WITHOUT markup... Classic in Texas

Ok, ok, so they're not in FL, but hey they're drop shipping it to me in FL, just the other side That's alright though, my wife's dad lives in Tampa so I don't mind picking it up over there one bit, just makes it a trip to visit over there.

Not having my own car is starting to become a downer for sure though :(

I'm cool, not worried about "believing" in what we don't know, it's just my nature to run situations through my head lol.

We'll hear word soon enough what is actually happening, that's good enough for me because you wouldn't get that many other places.

Yes. This happened to me. I was 3300 with a TPW of 7/20 (would have been this week), but got bumped to 8/10 as of last Wednesday. But by the end of the week, I was back to 3000 with no TPW. The dealer is trying to get an explanation for me. Will post if I hear anything relevant.
