Thanks for the story. These cars really are good for the soul. I've really enjoyed driving my 2014 1LE these past few days. Mundane trips to places I don't want to go (work) are now enjoyable. The stress seems to erase itself the harder I mash the throttle. I'm also guessing that permagrin has something to do with it.

Awesome write up! I saw a young kid nearly jump out of his seat and point at my car driving down the road. It never fails to put a smile on your face

I'm not a night person but working at night is great for driving. While i'm headed to work into the city most everyone is headed in the other direction and vise versa as i am driving back home, most everyone is headed back into the city to work. Especially taking the turn pikes and using the Sun Pass it's a very smooth and easy ride.

Well written and I agree about the traffic. I used to live in So Cal years ago and even recently used to commute 60 miles a day in snarled traffic. I don't miss it one bit. Now I'm fortunate enough to live in a rural enough area that allows for spirited runs on nice smooth country roads with little traffic.

Great story. I'd definitely read your book....

Unrelated question, what GM cars are actually still made in Detroit, if any? Are all Camaros made in Oshawa? I was curious about what part Detroit has in the manufacturing process the other day, and couldn't find a whole lot of information.

I know what Scott's voice sounds like. But the rhythm to ththat piece kind of sounds like one of many monologues that Anthony Bourdain has done in his travel/food shows. So there you go Scott, we need to get you a show on the Travel channel.

Waiting for the book. Good story. It's always enjoyable to drive when almost no one is out. We've got the 85 MPH toll road but you have to watch for wild hogs out at night.

Great story Scott! That's one good thing about my drive into work in the morning - leaving my house at 6am I get to really enjoy the drive in before traffic gets too congested. Hope you had fun at Berger - wish I could have made it over!

Great write up Scott! I hate driving my ZL1 in traffic also and the Maryland
And Virginia area is pretty bad. Hence I take the bus to work and leave the
beast at home. I'm on the bus now and even on the HOV lane the traffic can
get backed up. But come the weekends it's cruising time with the wife and
the open highways for some fun driving. Hope to see you at another event
in our area.
