I installed a G5CR CAI over 2 years ago and man I felt the difference. I runned my car with a ACS Nickey Chicago Hood with a ram air to the filter for 2 yeas and I recently changed it to an ACS TL1 Hood with lots of hot air coming out and fresh air coming in . I never regretted going with the open filter and I'm not a fan of closed in-a-box CAI which I beleive are not getting enough fresh air drom the grill.

I'm getting the car dynoed in the next weeks than I'll get the exact figures on HP and Tork gains

Thing is without a heat shield and all that heat from the engine going back in the engine you are or will lose power, it my feel like you are getting the best performance but you could actually be going down in hp due to the heat being sucked in especially in traffic or just a hot day in general. To each his own tho, im not knockin ya setup.

Actually I don't mind HP in traffic.I have the ACS TL1 Hood for heat dissipation and ACS T2 splitter which has 4 openings in the bumper for fresh air circulation.

Looks like a knock off K&N. I'm sure it's not the best, but better than stock for sure.

Best regards,

If it's a quality filter, it's hard to beat for the price. Maybe think about thermal/heat wrapping the shield and tube as a future project. Or a catch can.
