Andy is a great guy... and it was great getting to meet him and, even better, watching the car get Dyno'd. I had two pulls done total, with the first one being on the house since it's the 2010 Camaro.

ADM Performance (Andy) has me thinking hard about having a Dyno Tune done on the car. As you'll see, I too am not seeing the kind of numbers one would hope for... as a result, I am meeting with the Service Manager at my dealership (Classic Chevy, Grapevine, Tx.) next week to discuss the issue. Either they Dyno tune it or they let Andy do it without voiding my warranty.... bottom line.

So, without further ado, here's the results *and* as a special bonus for the first ten callers.... a link to one of the Dyno video's.

Also, as an interesting side note or additional note (you decide), I was able to pull a couple of Dynolicious runs last night. Comparing the numbers to the actual Dyno pulls at ADM performance, Dynolicious is definitely pretty close with consistent results.

Yeah, you are definitely not making the power you should so it seems. You should be somewhere in the 320hp range.
Your losing like 24% through the drive-train. That seems excessively high.

OMG! THAT IS AN OUTRAGE! Can someone please tell me what the heck is going on??? 305 HP at the rear wheels, HOLY COW! What the heck is the big mystery with these cars? It’s like a conspiracy at GM, the dealers are saying, at first, nothing is wrong because all the codes are fine. Then you bring it in for a 2nd time with a stop watch, a dyno sheet, quarter mile slip or you make the dealer race you with a 6 banger LT and the LT wins, so the dealer starts to listing to you and admit something is wrong. Then the GM techs lie (in my case) and say the car is running fine running 5.5 to 5.0 0 to 60 which is absolute B.S. and refuse to do anything at all. There are no complaints about the LS3, but major complaints about the L99. I am told that GM is getting dozens of calls daily around the country about the L99’s running slow. How hard can this be to figure out???? The car shifts like a girl and has the torque of a Honda…. Maybe. Is this car detuned so much because the transmissions are going to blow up if you put any horsepower behind it??? If you remember the 85 Corvette, which I was the proud owner of off the showroom floor. Blew 4 transmissions in 17 thousand miles, if you can remember when GM first came out with that transmission (700R) they had major problems with it, plastic gears I guess. I assure you my opinion is qualified, the cars that I have owned: That Matter:
68 Firebird
69 Camaro
69 GTO
70 Camaro
68 Firebird Race Car 454 CID
74 Front engine Dragster
73 Corvette 454
78 Trans Am (Track Champion 83 and 85 Las Vegas speedrome)
85 Corvette
91 Corvette
92 Corvette LT1
2001 Corvette
2004 Corvette Z06
2004 Mustang Mach 1 (sorry I strayed, nothing to buy at GM)
2005 GTO
2010 Camaro (slug)

Many owners have spent a lot of money on a performance car, there is something wrong with a great number of them without question. GM Please correct the problem NOW! We did not buy them to have our ass’s kicked by lowly Mustang GT’s and Honda’s! This car was advertised to be quicker than the 2005 GTO that I traded to get this car and it is a far cry from it!

We want you to be successful, out of bankruptcy and thriving for a very long time! PLEASE DELIVER WHAT YOU ADVERTISED AND PROMISED!

Did Andy (ADM Performance) say anything about your cars factory tune? Just wondering if he has any anwsers to why your L99 is down on power.

Not to a level of specificity other than to convey to em that it was out of whack and needed attention. I'll be working with ADM and the dealership this week, to determine what can be done within the confines of not violating my warranty. ADM has a good rep with the dealership, so I am optimistic (hopeful) to have a quick resolution (dyno tune) this week.

More as things develop... ....

That said, I am wondering what the latest is with IRPQ...

It sounds like most if not all the L99's would benifit greatly from an updated tune. Based on some of the dyno numbers we're starting to see, the problem may be more wide spread than once thought.
It makes me want to get my car dynoed. My car feels fast and it did run a
5.2 sec 0-60mph (G-Tech). But if it only makes 305 rwhp, I'm going to want some tuning (by GM or an aftermarket tune).

The L99's should be making around 320 rwhp (give or take a few rwhp).

305 rwhp equates to around 380hp at the motor. But I have a feeling there may be some L99's (Scott's car for sure) that aren't even making 305rwhp.

I have a feeling, GM will eventually offer an updated tune for L99's. But how long will it take?

I am sure Andy can fix it from what I hear he is great. What Andy does unfortunately will Void the warrantee, and that is the point. It appears that GM is detuning these cars so we go out at our expense, get them running to factory specifications or better and void the warrantee. We should not have to spend dime one to get the car producing 340 real wheel horsepower and running 4.7 to 5.2 0 to 60 times.

When you spend $40,000-$46,000 there should be no problem at all, and one day is toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to wait. Is should be a screamer from the day you pick it up!

Well Scott, John and Cheryl have done to much for me to do something like that. I am sure they will get my issue taken care of. I am hoping that they are reading these threads and taking a hard look at things from my test that we ran.

The other issue could be at what location did that pick to tune the cars from? I mean if it is designed to do 0-60 in 4.7 only in 60 degree or lower temps then they have a big issue. The advertise 4.7 and that time should of been found in hot humid conditions. Making the car quicker in the the cooler climates.

NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Just a thought!!!

Like I said, Normal SS L99 with the 400 hp, the LS3 with automatic, I WILL PAY THE GAS GUZZLER TAX. we pay $1200+ for the automatic option and lose 26 HP and dont even get the 400hp the was promised. Where is the intergrity in that????

Then contact Edmunds and all the magazines about it. I am just saying I am going to give them a chance to fix it. I will not be the one contacting the press.
