Cleaned and reoiled my over oiled K&N filter in my New Era OTR. I was getting some bucking and found the filter to be very over oiled. MAF was covered in oil after only 1 full throttle to 72mph run down the road about 2 miles total. Now almost no bucking and no oil on MAF

Almost finished gettin the "Bitchin Camaro" ready to race on the salt flats.
After cleaning and then spraying the whole underside (the metal portions, anyway) with undercoating, I covered all of it with liquid acrylic floor wax. This works pretty well at preventing the salt from sticking. When I get ready to run it, I'll spray the inner fenders and a few other parts with Pam spray cooking oil. If that doesn't prevent salt accretion, I don't know what will. Then I had to deal with the valve stems. The rules mandate metal valve stems. Try to find 'em for cars that have TPMS. So I had to take the stems outta the Goodyear Frontrunners that I run on my Monte Carlo and have 'em put on the Torq-Thrust Ms. 'Course that means that the BCM thinks that all my tires are flat. So tomorrow, before I put it on the trailer, I'll put all the sensors into one of the race wheel/tires, inflate it to 45 pounds and then put that in the trunk. Got my fingers crossed. Ohh. While the tire shop was changing the valve stems, they scratched one of the brand new wheels. Damn! I just got thru wrapping the pedals with tape, since the machined surface would be a salt scraper and get totally messed up. I also made a cardboard cutout for the stock floor mat and covered that with duct tape. Man! What a frikkin thrash. I'm gettin too old and short of breath to do this. This attempt on the salt better be a slam dunk or I'm gonna take up needlepoint. |

Havoc Spoiler installed, I think they resolved their fitment issues because this is flush all the way around, even above the tail lights.
