'10 SS VS '10 GT500

No I would call it the moderators stopping this site from becoming some feral die hard Fanboi Camaro site that other would not want to visit. The rep for this site has already taking quite a few hits, and now its starting to become reputable. I would think that is what the owners wanted.

Its the ZOMG CAMARO CAMARO CAMARO ALL OTHER CARS ARE CRAP!!!!! CAMARO CAMARO posters that will screw it up. Whats wrong with discussion ? Whats wrong with another point of view ? The reputable Mustang sites, the more notable ones have many different car owners who contribute. Its what a car site should be.

The true problem are the posters both Camaro or (insert car here) that cannot see anything else but what they rep, and do not have the knowledge or vocabulary to hold a decent conversation in a forum post. They have zero ideal what they are talking about most times, even with the car they support. Let alone another. Thus they blurt out crazy comments, then bash and put down anyone who does not agree with them.

That is what the moderators here are trying to curb, and thank god that they are.

I would say that is a very fair reply. I guess I myself have been guilty of traversing other forums besides my local car forums. Typically only when I'm trying to decide what my next car purchase will be. Then I usually stick with forums applicable to the car. However, I do agree it is important to diversify your car knowledge and respect other people's car of choice.

The common problem I see with other brands visiting, is that bouts of rivalry tend to ensue. The ignorance then turn into 15+ page battle of mine is bigger than yours. Which is why more often than not, if I regulary visit another car site I just lurk and read, rather than post. It is also a large time consumer to frequent several forums.

I don't really like it when people use the "well put that extra $xxxxx into the <insert car here> then see what happens" argument. It doesn't matter because the law of diminishing returns has to be considered. Still, I do like the Camaro more.

how does the gt500 do against the skyline? since that is close to its price range and is a four seater

i would say the corvette and viper could beat the gt500 but those are two seaters

These cars are both capable of delivering a great driving experience. In my case I decided to go with the camaro.I was sold on the IOM on IO just my preference.I did think seriously about a GT.

Yes, yes and yes for the last time.

GT500 is built by Ford and warrantied by Ford just like the z28 would have been if GM ever build the darn thing .

Cool thing is that 'Ford Racing' parts added by a SVT dealer also get the Ford warranty.

I dont get the hate.I love Camaros and Mustangs.I used to own a 2006 Mustang gt and I loved it.I also always loved Camaros and Firebirds.I have owned 3 3rd gen Firebirds.Why cant we just band together against the ricer dudes.For now,the Camaro has the performance advantage over the Mustang GT.Next year however,I expect both cars to be runnimg a lot closer.Maybe a slight advantage going to the GT.Mainly because of the GT's weight advantage.However the GT500 is another beast.Unless Chevy comes out with a Z28.Until then the Gt500 is the king of the pony cars.
