Yes, I've written her! It's not clear if they will deal. I'm building demand (the business case) to ask for the group discount.
And I've PM'd Becky to make sure Maureen is following the vote suggesting that Rodgers Management consider this. If they do it's easy money. But I don't own a dealership and maybe Rodger will consider it bad revenue than good revenue. At any rate it's free marketing for them.

Yes, Brian talked with her a couple of days ago. She is keenly aware of our intent to do a group buy. The seats aren't yet offered to be ordered, but it has to happen very soon because cars are shipping with the Recaros now. If a collision happened, spare parts have to be available. On a high volume car like the Camaro, I'm sure they'll be available for order soon.

And with over 150 Camaro owners expressing interest in purchasing them, that will give her the incentive to make this happen and give us a good deal. Chevy may not discount to her, but that does not mean that she won't offer them to a discount to us. And if she doesn't, someone will.

It may take some time to play out, but I'm a patient man.

Everything in life is negotiable. If the dealer cost for the seats are $1700 and the list is $2000 that's $300 margin. Rodger may (or may not) wish to take an order for 500 seats. The question is whether they will deal and give up some margin.

NOTE: I believe the numbers I used above are for seats in the 2014 Camaro. I'd imagine aftermarket fees will be higher.

I'm in, but how do the new Recaros feel compared to the regular SS seats? I would like to hear from some new 14 owners. I know they will track well but how about long trips in them?

Very comfortable. Use my Z for a DD and couldn't be more comfortable in the Recaros.

I want to know if they can be put in the convertibles, since they aren't offered as an option.... I had then in a CTS-V wagon and really liked them a lot.

How would that work?
GM would have to make up a new RPO for Rodgers Chevrolet Revaros.
The only thing I can think of that could happen is that enough of you commit and Rodgers does a FLEET order that gets you guys a few hundred $ of discounts.

mSRP is $1995.00 Dealer Invoice is $1755.60. So there is not much dealer profit where they could give significant discounts.

My bad. I didn't read the thread correctly. I was thinking of a group buy on new camaros with recaros, not the seats only. Forget anything I said. Lol.
