I've got my helmet too. I have my camera which does videos, but it's better for taking those high resolution 12 megapixel shots.

As far as the muffler delete....man, everyone needs to do that mod. It really DOES sound incredible like that and saves weight. Now...since you just kind of modded the car, I'd say it is no longer stock. Just my take. I mean...you are going to get better numbers because of better air flow. So, that would not be acceptable to the "stock crowd."....if you know what I mean. Any advantage is an advantage....and any edge over the competition will get you a better time which would not be considered fair.

At least, that's my .02.

Now that you said that about RJT...it was not there either! I forgot about that color!

So no white (which no one has seen on the street in production) and RJT.

Would love to see a track day for all of SAs Camaros! End of August or early Sep would be great as the weather would be cooling down then...I can start to organize one if you guys want? I'll make some calls and see what I can get done.

Only question is do you want to travel 2 - 4 hours to make it available to more Texas cars (maybe even OK, LA, AR) or do you want one only for SA cars (then we'd do the Marion drag strip)?

I'll start another thread and go from there if you guys post up and say you want it!

Awesome turnout. Great Pics. I could not make it - had Daddy duty. You guys meet on Fridays also? I will certainly participate in a track night. I think Wednesdays are Test & Tune in Marion (SA Raceway).
How easy is the muffler delete? Is it a DIY deal?

Steve

It's an exhaust shop thing. There are some threads on the delete in the v8 forum. Besides for your warranty coverage you should do it in a shop AND make sure your service dept is cool with it. They can void your exhaust warranty if they want to.

If you can weld it would be DIY...but I can't weld so no, I had mine done!

I'd think you could get pipes made that "slip" over the cut off ones but then the issue of them lining up out the back would come up...plus tips...how would you get the tips back on?

I'd say not DIY if you can't weld.

I know Shagman had his done over on the south side somewhere...so several locations to get it done and all about the same price (at least when they did ours so not sure what they are charging now?)

$80 at Salinas in the south side - and the guy is awesome, plus there a mexi joint next door with killer tortas. Its off of General Hudnell and 90. Had the guy do my 67 years ago and no complaints. Aluminized w/ perfect bends and pipes out about an inch or so more. All in 40 minutes!

Don't be scared LOL.

What's their number? I can't seem to find them on google, or google maps. Thanks.
