Twin disk clutch recommendations
Im converting an auto car to manual, and looking into picking up a twin disk clutch, and im not sure what to get.
they seem to run between 1-2 grand on average. This would be mostly street use, with occasional drag use. id like smooth engagement, with not too heavy of a pedal that will hold about 550 crank hp. Any recommendations?

Mantic 9000 Series Twin Clutch Kit
The Mantic 9000 series is the smoothest engaging, softest feel to a clutch that I have ever had in a LSx car that can handle over 1000rwhp !!! The clutch feels as light as the LS3/LS7 clutches, weighs in at 37lbs with the steel billet flywheel (Good for big cams instead of the aluminum fw), awesome engagement, and great in traffic. We use them all the time, got one going into a 850rwhp Vette now and another in a 800rwhp Camaro. The 9000 series twin kits also include the proper Slave Cylinder, TO Bearing, and all associated hardware (Floaters, discs, pressure plate). ![]() Mantic ER2 Single Clutch Kit However, for your 550rwhp you can also use their single which is about half the cost. The single ER2 design feels like stock clutch with smooth engagement, weighing in at 49lbs with steel billet flywheel. Cover Assemblies with the ER2 Groove Design feature have a unique groove pattern CNC machined on the friction face of the Pressure Plate. The groove has been specifically designed to increase the Mean Effective Radius of the pressure plate and assist in heat removal. ![]() -------------------- EVERY SINGLE MANTIC CLUTCH IS DYNO TESTED BEFORE IT LEAVES THEIR FACILITY. Do a search on this site,after all you have a camaro any other reference would be worthless then give us a call and we can get you the right clutch the first time and save you the money and headache.....

I don't see a lot of people talk about Exedy...they're expensive clutches. Mine is smooth as glass, and no matter what I do, it does not slip. Pedal feel is just about stock.
