Combine Tune with Range V8 Device

So I ordered my SCT X3 Livewire Tuner from Jannetty Racing and it will arrive tomorrow. I know that the standard JRE tune disables AFM in its entirety. I was wondering if anyone out there had a tune and left AFM enabled and then used the Range V8 device to control the AFM. I was thinking that maybe on long trips, it might be nice to have AFM on to save a little bit on gas.

Is this even realistic? Any thoughts are appreciated. I am rather new to the site but have learned so much from other members.

Thanks!

Probably need to ask Ted or Adam the range man that question. I have never heard of anyone doing that. Kind of an interesting question though. My opinion is to get your tune and forget AFM ever existed. My tuned SS can get 23-24 on the highway with no AFM.

Loose the range device. You don't need it and Ted won't want it on the car.

Sell it to help finance the SCT. You'll still get great mpg without it.

If you are so hung up on using it have Ted write you a tune with afm in it. That's the beauty of the SCT. You can have 3 different tunes.

That pig got 10 with 2 camaros in it coming back from Indy. I was happy considering it was just over 18k lbs.

6th gear on the highway 20 is on the low side. The problem lies with running $14 a gallon fuel. I need 200 mpg to feel good about that!!

We had it tuned with AFM capabilities after 70mph..strictley in D and not in sport mode! Called it the "wife" tune.
