Productin time frame going forward?

Hey Group.
I have read all the stories on how long it has been taking.. I feel for everyone but am sure its worth the wait. I ordered my Camaro July 7th IOM SSRS with no stripes with IO interior.. very excited.
Dealer said he was able to scoot it into his allocation somehow. Really not sure what he meant but think he was saying he had someway of speeding it up to a 6 week lead time.. Is that at all possible? I ordered a 6 speed Manual and am having a hip replaced next month so in no hurry.. need to heal up first..
Take care and thanks
Doug and Sandi

Yea... you'll be shoveling snow with your new hip before you get your car. That is, if it snows in oklahoma city.

Timeframe!!!!!!!

I would be sorry to say that your timeframe will be at least 3 months or 12 weeks, depending on your options and issues dealing with your options. Car colors are also now begininng to be issues as well. I ordered my car on 4/15 and it was produced on 7/2 and on hold for the last 2 weeks. Now it is on a railcar to Miami. So your expected time of delivery could be around october or november depending on the problems we have had to deal with. Good luck!!

Just depends on the dealer and location. I was able to get mine in 9 weeks.

I have not gotten mine yet and did not have to order my wife's, but the one I have on order seems to be moving very quickly. Order went in on June 24 = 1100 status and by July 14 is was at 3300 status with a TPW of 7/27. If no snags come about I should have it the first of August or so. That could very well be 6 to 8 weeks. Depends if your dealer was able to put it in the system the same week you ordered it with an actual open allocation. If it was open and available to you, then 6 to 8 weeks is not out of the question I would not think.

DCJ,
I talked to my dealer and kind of complicated but he told me because of the dealer status and the allocation he had for it that no more than 8 weeks total time unless something happens. It is of course just at 1100 for now..
Chevyridinghigh, your post really cracked me up. I almost fell out of my chair laughing. It does snow in Oklahoma City but not often. That was funny as hell. Almost wrecked my car telling my wife about your post.
Take care guys and gals and have fun

Congrats on your purchase. I ordered am on July 4, hope it comes 3 days before yours. The dealership said it was going to be 4 months. We'll see if this is true
