Z-28 released in US first?: an idiot's story - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Apparently, you Americans are some lucky guys! According to some idiot that came up to me at a car show last night, you already have new 2010 Z-28's driving around!

Here is a rough transcript:

idiot "Why did you only get the SS?"
Me "What?"
Id "Why didn't you get a Z-28?"
Me "Cause they don't make em yet."
Id "Yeah they do, down in the states and if you know the right person. They have the 610 horspower motor out of a ZM-1"(He said ZM not me typo-ing)
Me "Well, first off, they only make Camaros in Canada, and the Z28 isn't out until 2012, MAYBE, AND the ZR-1 makes like 630 some horsepower."
Id "No there is a Z28 in the States, but you can't import it to Canada because we have a law where you can't have more horsepower than cubic inches.That's why there were no new GTOs in Canada"
Me "well this thing makes 426 horsepower from about 376 cubic inches, and the GTO wasn't in Canada because the front bumper didn't meet Canadian Crash standards."

By this time I was pretty aggrivated with him and just wanted him to leave, so I said:

"Now if you are done with your bullshit stories, can you please get the f*&k out of here?"

Worst part was this guy was an older guy, in his late 40s or so. You'd expect he would know better.

Sometimes I hate the general public.

So anyways if one of you lucky guys in the states has one, can you send me some pics please? LOL.

had a gal at a show tell me you couldnt get the RS with the SS & I told her yes she could, she told me that the dealer said you couldnt. I asked her what was the sales persons name & she told me & I told her because hes a flipping idoit & I will be calling him on monday & letting him know lol. Hate dealing with that guy cause the thinks hes so good lol.

some guy tried to sell me a supercharger in the parking lot outside my bank. he swore it wasn't "hot" and that all it had was "shipping" damage and thats why it was so cheap. all I had to do was call him and he would get it for me reeeeeal cheap.

i just nodded and said, "oh ya, i'll def think about it" "mmhmm"

I just wanted to get out of that awkward situation...lol

I am so tempted to say something here...but the laugh that I had that made me facepalm myself harder than anything I'd ever heard before..... ladies and gentlemen...it's called Inferno Orange Metallic......NOT Hugger Orange. I'm sure they figured it out by now, though...

Its great when they are so insistent that they are right, they are so sure. Thats why I like to throw the $500 bet at them.
