Not stupid at all, yes once the stock tune goes back in it unmarries itself.

REALLY?! Oh man all this time, lol!! I could have sworn I saw a write-up that said to drain at least a gallon of coolant. Well that makes life easier. Any special tools needed? Special fuel line disconnect tools or anything like that? I will check out that link to see their write-up, thanks guys!!

You need a fuel line disconnect and some rags. Other than that, i had mine out and back in within an hour.

You don't really need to disconnect the fuel rail, you can just pull the injectors off the intake and set the fuel rail and injectors to the side. Then install your new intake and install the injectors and fuel rails back on the new intake. Put a Lil oil on the orings before you snap them on.

Good point. I have disconnected mine both times, but i see how it's not neccessary. You'll save yourself some gas fumes that way.

Speaking of fuel rails. Is there a cheaper alternative to the $75 corvette fuel line for flipping the rails? I want to get that done when I put my painted plenum clamshell back on.

great thread, like the idea.

Quick question - I just installed my tSP 229/236 cam and need to get some better exhaust flow. I didn't want to "scare children"(as another member put it) with LT's, so I was thinking of just doing JBA cats. I know I would be leaving some HP on the table, but from what I am reading the cats are the most restrictive part of the system. Any thoughts?

I found it for around 65 shipped with a little more effort. I need to make one more push to get the rest of this engine bay stuff painted and polished and i'm moving on to the wiring. Starting with the hpt bundle!

Did you get your wideband yet zeke?
