Well, once again I took my car in today and they said bring it back on Wed. I guess the guy who would be doing all the tests has been gone for a while.

You very well could be right about there being more a lot more cases but you could also be wrong.

Is the glass half empty or half full? I choose half full. Therefore I choose to believe there is a problem but it isn't as wide spread as you seem choose to believe. It takes time to resolve issues, especially issues as complex as this one. It may take 200-300 hrs to solve this issue. It could be more or less. WE DONT KNOW. So lets be cool and wait for a result and hopefully a solution.

If one dealer doesn't do anything for you, take it to another. I don't understand why no one has done this, but the best thing to do is take it too a good tuner and have them scan your car on the dyno and road. This will show what the engine is doing and why. Could be as simple as a sensor reading improperly thus the pcm is reducing power.

Scott's car is the one that got beat by the V6 Camaro. I don't believe his car was dynoed. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Scott's car would probably dyno 240 rwhp (maybe) or so based on his description of its performance (7.0+ 0-60mph, and slower than a V6).

Hey guys, I also have a L99 but i recently just gotten into cars and im learning quite a bit by reading the threads on this website. With the problem you guys are having, i am not sure where i could go to check. There isnt a place were i live that i know of that runs dynos. I have no idea if mine is having the same problem as you guys.

Ive raced many times so far have not lost a race. I raced a 2006 Dodge Charger r/t numerous times and won every time, same for any kind of mustangs. My town is filled with ricers and i count them as easy wins because they are. The only two cars that i raced and had a competition with was an older year z28 and a twin turbo'd nissan 300z. Beat them both though. Does this sound fine?

Sounds good in the text. But time a 0-60 and see what you get. My car feels strong but it should be stronger. Video the run and time it. Not the best way to get results but it'll be within a few tenths.

Alright, i will do that tomorrow probably. I just got back from the eye doctor and my pupils are dialated, it's hard to even type on here.

What would be the best way to do the 0-60 time? In "S" mode or "M" mode with the paddel shifter? I heard people talk about a competition mode or something like that but i have not figured out how to try it yet.

M (Sport mode) (Traction control off)
or
(7 second mode = everything turned off)

Don't use the paddle shifters, let the computer do the shifting.

Also, don't forget 0-60mph doesn't start until the car starts moving forward.

Yup. And if you have an iPhone, get the Dynolicious app. I don't care about the HP on it but the times are pretty damn accurate. I videoed a couple of runs and the app was close enough where I couldn't se a differance with my eye.
