Guys,

How are you confirming your true status? I ask because I too, still shows up on the Work Bench as 3400 7/13 TPW as of this morning, no VIN.

HOWEVER, an hour ago, my salesperson called me and told me that the OWNER of the dealership actually called the DBC (I don't know what that is) and found out that my car is actually already in transit! I asked my dealer why the Customer Service told me this morning that my car was still in production...the dealer said, bad information and can only guess that the latest information is only as new as the last entry by the person who actually enters the updates! I asked my salesperson to get teh VIN for me as soon as possible. I hope they are right!

So, positive thinking in full effect, it is possible that wherever we have been getting our event updates from, does not have the latest. Dealers need to call the DBC to find out for sure.

I don't believe anything until my car is actually in front of me.

Dude... If that's the same case for me I will be the happiest person alive. I don't want to piss off my dealer and tell him to look in DBC if he has his own way of finding out but, he said he would contact me with the VIN when produced and I have yet to hear. Alot of their cars they had ordered said "in transit" even after they arrived. I may need to shoot him a request tomorrow if I'm still showing up at 3400. Keep us in the loop on your situation.

I'm also checking in with 3400 here and still 7/13 TPW. GM service line called me back as follow up from call Saturday saying the car is in production and they basically couldn't tell me anything else. Said I would be better off from here on out checking with my dealer.

Member "notaninsider" was able to provide me with a VIN. He said it was prematurely released and that I am most likely in the midst of production and half built.

Hey guys. This is ffrcobra_65. Had to create this new username because when I found my VIN on spastic squirrel this morning, I claimed it with my initials (pdari) and not with my ffrcobra_65 name. I didn't read the fine print that says to use the username until after I clicked OK.

I'll be using this from now on. Sorry guys.

Here is the deal..

Yesterday, GM customer service and The VIZ checked my status and it was still 3400 with 7/13 TPW. Yesterday, I also get a call from my dealer, told me that my car has been shipped. I doubted it. This morning, I checked spastic and saw a IOM 2SS/RS with all the same options as what I ordered going to my dealer so I can safely assume that is mine! Dealer was right! So it seems the car was already built, passed QC, and shipped and the status never updated. Dealer said it happens some times.
So those of you who did not get a VIN, relax, I bet your cars already got built and probably already in transit!

Check spastic squirrel and type in your dealer's name in the search box to make it easier.
