Agree. Have had over 200 pictures taken of primarily kids in the drivers seat. I just love their smiles and big eyes. LOL

While gaining no performance advantage over its counterparts the cost is excessively high for the hot wheels package, you get another color of paint...so that could be a $350 option, and you get some special badging..not much, a different embroidered head rest, and different style grill......all things the car would have in a different style and some supposed "ghost flames" which are hardly noticeable on the rear fenders. And god I hated the wheels they are so die cast from the toy and hated them on the toys back then. SO they get to say hey its a hot wheels...give us another five grand and more.............For a appearance package with a little grounds effects. I know the 1le package is such a better deal and am disappointed in g.m. for making this cost so much. The color is nice, the badging and all yet it should have came with old school cragars you cannot find anywhere for that price.......ANd it would have made more impact for the price than the wheels even when I was a kid I said WTF too............ No one ever drove those style of rims on a car in back in the day, they were just what a plastic mold came in..........And you should have asked reason why people who could have bought one did not.....Price not worth it with the fugly wheels and no performance advantage.

The 21 wheels are a 5k package. Without the wheels its a 1k option. And to each his own.

I would buy this car in a heartbeat due to the package, color and overall look. It is stunning, a bit expensive but stunning. The first thing I would do is rip off all the hot wheels crap badges..I'm not interested in coupling my car with a movie (transformers) or a toy (Mattel).....

I seen one last march at a dealer in florida, my wife made sure i did not get any where near it. I was not really looking to buy a new car but gm came out with zero % financing so I started to look at what was out there ZLI or SS located some of each, then found a HOT WHEELS 2SS 6 SPD . I love the car because of what it is and its not the same as everyone elses ( except other hot wheels ) THE cost of the pkge was not an issue just loved the car. Recently at a light some 18 yrs guys said to my wife ,that as a kid they used to play with HOT WHEELS CARS as kids. She had to break the news to them that they could not play with this one!!!

The reason we bought this car was for the look. Yeah it costs more but to me it makes no difference. Think of all the other Camaro owners on this site who have spent a lot of money to make their car look unique. Mine just happens to come from GM with a lot of unique features. If you were to go get the same paint job on your car, it would cost a lot more then $350.

Not everyone is going to like it. Same thing for people with the changes for the Camaro in 2014. But 99% love the car. I get thumbs up and compliments constantly. I have caught many people staring at the car in the parking lot. I've even had one guy pull an illegal U-turn to come look at the car. Doubt that happens with a Black 2SS in stock trim.

I always loved Hot Wheels as a kid and think the whole idea for the car is great, but I would have bought it for that great blue !

If you could have gotten a sunroof, I'd probably have one now.

I knew it wouldn't take long for a HW hater to show up and start talking smack.....thanks for coming! The rambling nature of your post, constant spelling and capitalization mistakes are an especially nice touch.

I agree, $7,000 does seem like a lot, until you option out a 2SS with comparable options to what is included on the HW. Total comes to just under $3,500 BEFORE you even add the ground effects, grill, or wheels.

And on the subject of wheels....different strokes for different folks dude. Personally, I don't care for the look of "old school cragars", expecially on modern cars. I DO like the wheels on the HW cars and think it's great they were able to capture the look of the old red stripe wheels of the early Hot Wheels I remember as a kid. Don't much care for them being 21" and wish they would have been 20", but oh well, I guess I'll worry about that when it's time for tires.

When I decided to get another Camaro I was debating between ordering a '14 1LE and the HW. The HW won out. To each his own.

Saw these 2 at a local Canton Ct dealer back in May. One conv/one coupe, both 6 spd manuel. They were gone in a few days so I expect sold right away.
Too bland/dark imo.

I couldn't care less about the hot wheels. I liked the color scheme and the red accents. If it was any other color, I would have kept my 09 stryker blue G8 GT. I also liked all of the toys on the 2SS. I do wish it had smaller wheels. I bought 19" winter tires, and if the price doesn't come down for 21" tires, I may be running 19" year around. I shouldn't have to cross that bridge for a few years.

Quite possibly, but it would have depended on how the finished look "came together".

An here's a pic of mine. It's not much though, I took it with my phone just after I drove it up from the dealer in Oklahoma City and just before a thunderstorm hit. It doesn't even have the black gill stripes installed (dealer screwed up their prep).

I wish there was an option for the color AND package, but I voted for the Kinetic Blue Metallic, as I originally wanted the bright blue, but the Hot Wheels package is icing on the cake = LOVE IT!!!!!!

I love the idea but really wanted a white Camaro. Still thinking around buying the badges and putting them on the car because this is a Hot Wheels car to me lol.
