Early bird registration ends this Friday for the NASA AZ event at Inde Motorsports Ranch 12-13 October and completely closes on 3 October. $160 for one day or $260 for both days in HPDE1. https://nasaproracing.com/event/1633...m_medium=email Last time they also had a deal where you could run one session for around $50, but the final details haven't been released.

You also need a $45 "license" for yourself or $75 for you and a spouse. NASA also runs several events in Phoenix and Cali so its not a one time waste of money if you travel a bit.

After Friday, the prices will go up. Would love to see a good turn out. Because of low turnout in May, they are thinking of only doing one event in 2014. Inde is easily the best track in Arizona and is a private facility so its not easy to get on the course. http://www.indemotorsports.com/site/

Spent plenty on new track tires, track pads, brake fluid, and end links so I plan to be there both days.

If you go, I would definitely upgrade your brake fluid to some hi boiling point DOT 4 fluid. You will be using your brakes hard! Everything else is optional until you start going faster.

Rear end links

I've had aftermarket sway bars for quite a while now, but found something interesting while I installed new end links yesterday. The upper mounts of the rear end links were only finger tight when I went to remove them. I never messed with them on the sway bar install and they are nylock so I thought they should never come loose. Might want to check yours next time its off the ground. 15mm wrench and 5mm allen to keep the stud from spinning. Probably should check your sway bar bolts as well for a preventative measure. The front end link bolts were fine and a PITA to remove... I just went with new end links since I track the car and have heard that the stockers may bend when you beef up the sway bars.

Happy motoring!

WARNING. There has been two strings of vandalism. One a couple of weeks ago, and one string last night. I was number 9, and they received a tenth call while they were taking a report from me. All of the cars vandalized are "higher end." They got a couple of Camaro's, a Corvette, and even a Maserati. Don't park near the street. Stay in garages and carports if possible.

Another Mod & Maintenance Day!!!

The weather's cooling off! It's time again for another M&M Day at Glen's! We're planning on 5 Oct, starting around 7:30 AM. Always a great chance to see what a mod looks or sounds like on another car before you buy. Also a good opportunity to help someone with your expertise in the "Automotive Enhancement" field.
As usual, please bring something to throw on the grill for youself and family, and a side dish to share with the group.

The usual rules apply to modding;

First come - first modded

Bring any special tools required for your mod, or coordinate with someone who already has them.

Plan to have your mod completed by 1 PM. No overnight parking (Glen will strip your car and sell off the parts to buy a blower).

Take any leftover parts/fluids when you leave.

Here's a few of the mods we've performed in the past;

Brake Pad Changes
Remote Clutch Resevoir
Halo Headlight Installs
Various LED Installs
Exhaust Changes
Heritage Grill Installs
Oil Catch Can Installs
CAI Installs
Subwoofer Installs
2013 Frameless Mirror Retrofit
2012 Heater Hose Retrofit
Technostalgia Tail Light Installs

Please PM or email if you plan any mods that day, or just plan to stop by. We're happy to help any way we can and save folks a few bucks in labor where we can.

This a great opportunity to learn what you and your car are really capable of (without the risk of a ticket). One session can easily improve your driving skills on the road.
If I had a roll bar in the convertible...
I'm planning a day-trip down on 12 Oct to watch Todd run the track. It really is a great facility and loads of fun just to watch. Anybody want to come along on a cruise?

Devryn17 - hopefully they catch these guys. Supposed to be a quiet little town, but it has gotten worse over the last few years...

Here is a 2010 Transformers Camaro that was hit a couple weeks ago. The roof, window, and trunk were damaged. I really hope they get this guy soon!

Oh wow. Didn't go through the windshield on mine. Bounced, somehow hit the mirror on the other side on the way down and ended up in the hard. It did break the windshield. Someone must have had a camera in the front of their house and caught these guys on it. They got a Maserati last night...
