40 years ago, tonight (kinda), two good ol' boys took a mylar foil and aluminum tube craft to the surface of the moon; 245,000 miles away.

They almost crashed.

Almost gave up..

But with 5 seconds of propellant remaining decided to stick the landing.

And with the world watching, succeeded. Not for America, but for all Humanity.

"That's one small step for a man, one..giant leap for mankind."

Yea I have seen some of the moonrocks very few people get to see. We had half of them in the back of the base at Brooks AFB in a bunker. It was called the Lunar Depository. And no I was not allowed to touch them they are under lock and key.

Don't know if they are still there or not.
