A Blower makes the best air intake.
Nothing wrong with airaid, I used it on my last camaro. CAI is enclosed and makes great HP. no issue there.

I would recommend the ADM cai with race scoop.

You will not go wrong with:

CAI, Rotofab, AirRaid, ADM or Vararam. The performance differences between them are negligble. It's all about which looks best to you as they perform roughly the same. If I had to put them in my order I would say; Vararam, CAI, Rotofab, ADM and AirRaid being last........

TD, Since you bought a 1LE are you planning on using it at the track? I am going to conclude you are since otherwise why bother and with that in mind you are going to want as much torque as you can get with each mod you do.

The Halltech Yellow Jacket, http://www.halltechsystems.com/category-s/323.htm , has some very good mid range/overall torque numbers according to a test that was done a while ago. It is what I use and I am very happy with it.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

Monkey bone and I are on the same page AGAIN. The Halltech may not be the purtiest but it performs as good or better than any of them. It's also one of the cheapest. Out of the ones Birm listed, i'd stay away from the Airaid. While it's not a bad intake, it gets all it's air from the same place as OEM. IMO, lack of adequate air quantity is one of the downfalls of the OEM system.

Actually forgot about the Halltech, and the AirRaid was listed last for a reason

They act like it is rocket surgery or something and that the CC is some power adder of great proportions.

Obviously you didn't get the memo, it must be the first mod done to your car or else it will blow up within 10k miles. Drink that koolaid, drink it!!
