trouble with CAI install.

Just to expand a touch on the above, the airbox is attached to the non-moving body while the engine flexes during accel/decel. There has to be flexibility to allow for the changes in orientation between the two or the tube would tear itself apart.

Here's another tip for ya. The MAF sensor has a little red clip that you pull back a little and the press the center down and it should slide right out

Thanks everybody.. my manager helped me out and we got it done.we pulled the engine bay trim off enough to where the lid would fit, we tightened the fasteners and then placed the trim back once the lid was on. Thing sounds like a BEAST

Here's a good tip I posted in another longer post, use if you ever have to take the lid off and put on again ...it works like a charm.


1st) Installe box with lid on, then after getting into postion I removed the lid,
tightend down box, installed filter, attached intake tube, then installed lid (insert
fender side first making sure the lid screw tabs were in the full open postion as
that's the only way they will line up for tighning in the box holes ..took a couple
of minutes of fiddling around. I used a small 3" screwdriver to tighten the
screws to give me a better feel to reduce slipping off and scratching the lid top.
